  • Star Trek fleet command

Twice in a weeks time frame it has frozen for over 24 hours and not allowing me to continue, just keeps saying it’s preparing..but nothing happens...very frustrating.
  • Pitifully poor software quality assurance

    By Annoyed in cyberspace
This is one of those “free” games that gets you interested and then requires hundreds if not thousands of dollars of in-game purchases to advance beyond minimal levels. Yet the software is so buggy you will lose most of your dollars invested because they cannot field a quality product. Do not walk away. Run away. Spend your money on lottery tickets or booze. Better returns from both...
  • Needs more value

This is very pay to play designed. I love Star Trek; however, this is not a good value for the money. It’s fun until you exhaust (rather quickly) what you invested. A lot of higher players bully weaker ships on a regular basis. It needs more work to be a true strategy game. Because of the multitude of bugs in the game, often the game does NOT award the prizes that are earned. When you complain to tech support, they back up what is wrongly reported in the bug filled game. I’ve made it to level 26 in the game; however, I’m not sure how much more I’m going to play based on the cost. The game uses uncommon ore, crystal, and gas to control how much you can progress without paying money.
  • Bugs galore

The game is not about strategy its about money. Its full of bugs and math errors on the back end and on the interface. The theme is entertaining and the music is good but dont spend a dime or any time on it.

The Scopely people are the most frustrating group of developers I have ever run into when dealing with game play problems. Star Fleet Command is a total disaster from start to finish. There is nothing fair about the game. If you are in a large alliance with lots of large powerful ships, you dominate everything and there is really no hope for much advancement unless you spend megabucks which many people do to only be frustrated. The biggest problem is even after making a purchase of resources for game play your base gets raided immediately and Scopely will not....let me repeat...WILL NOT..refund your money. Then here is the other need to shield your base for protection and cannot attack anyone except hostiles, not other players who have taken your resources. The game is constantly crashing every 5-10 minutes and you have to reboot. Then there are the time-out screen issues and billing screen issues. When you write to Scopely they want screenshots of your problems but don’t know how to correctly inform you how to take screenshots on different devices. And they usually give bad advice. When you finally take a screenshot and send it to them...their pat answer is to say we are aware of the problem and in a few years we will have it corrected. The game is a SCAM....let me repeat....a BIG SCAM. And with some improvements to make it fair and some tweaks in software to rid the game of its constant glitches the idea might be successful. As it is....I wouldn’t recommend anyone trying this game at all. They really should refund everyone’s money and start completely over. COMPLETE RIP-OFF! It might be prudent for the players to contact an attorney and develop and class-action lawsuit to force Scopely to deal with the issues.

  • All They Want is Your Money

    By ErinCIversen
The game itself is fun, however, you cant really progress past a certain level without spending significant amounts of money. The customer service is terrible if you have any issues, and further more the game crashes ALL the time.... Like every 5 mins. That has been going on for months, the developers don’t care! All they care about is getting to your wallet!
  • Waste of a potentially good game

    By Krazimagik
Everything the other reviewers complain about is all true. Do not waste your time on this, you will never get it back. Fun until level 10, then gets repetitive. Quests have goals that are usually too high for your level. Then you need to mine resources almost all the time, but get PVP attacked by players who are higher level or spent $$$ for better ships. It’s impossible to mine rarer elements without getting killed and your cargo stolen. Or you need to destroy enemies that are OP so you will never win, or travel to a system out of your warp range. If you finally make it to level 14-15, your space station will reach a point where it can be attacked. Once I hit that threshold, a single troll attacked my space station over 20x in 10 mins until all my resources were stolen. Resources which took hours to accumulate in order to build, advance or complete quests. No reason to start over when a one else can steal in minutes what it takes to mine. Don’t waste your time on this unbalanced game unless you want to drop serious coin. If you can spend the dollars it’s a blast to bully everyone else.
  • FAKE RULES by select Alliances ruin it

    By mattyk81
I wish there was a version that you didn’t have to interact with other players. Like most PvP, people get crazy and make the game not fun anymore. Apparently somewhere out there, not found on the app, are a set of “pirate rules” that a number of bigger stronger alliances made up. If you attack someone, even if revenge for them attacking you, you will get messaged by the player telling you, you broke one of these rules and then threaten to have their alliance destroy you. It’s a game of bullying. Also... I enjoy this game. I have to disagree about the reviews that this is just an app to take your money. You can level up, it just takes longer. Really long sometimes depending on how often your base and ships get attacked. It’s often though, especially your ships. I’ve spent money on app games that I really get into and as much as I like this game I would never spend money on it. YOU CAN BUY RESOURCES AND THEN LOSE IT ALL RIGHT AWAY WHEN ANOTHER PLAYER ATTACKS YOUR BASE. X
  • Not for REAL Trekkies

    By AJSpock
Unless you prefer the Klingon way of life this game is not for you. Someone missed that the point of all Star Trek shows is to explore an idealistic future where diplomacy is the weapon of choice and the purpose of space exploration is to actually explore and discover. It’s a build and destroy game, where upon encountering another ship you can either scan and then attack or just attack. I was really hoping it was more like actually entering the final frontier.
