HINGE, DESIGNED TO BE DELETED Hinge is the dating app for people who want to get off dating apps. And it’s working. Currently, 3 out of 4 first dates lead to second dates, we’re the #1 mobile-first dating app mentioned in the New York Times wedding section, and we’re the fastest growing dating app in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. THE BUZZ ABOUT HINGE “Hinge’s CEO says a good dating app relies on vulnerability, not algorithms.” - Washington Post "Hinge is the first dating app to actually measure real-world success" - TechCrunch “A great option for those fed up with temporary love.” -TheNextWeb HOW WE GET YOU OFF HINGE In today’s digital world, singles are so busy matching that they’re not actually connecting, in person, where it counts. Hinge is on a mission to change that. So we built an app that’s designed to be deleted. * We quickly learn your type. You'll only be introduced to the best people for you. * We give you a sense of someone’s personality. You'll get to know potential dates through their unique answers to prompts, and personal information like religion, height, and politics. * We make it easy to start a conversation. Every match begins by someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile. * We ask how your dates are going. After exchanging phone numbers with a Match, we’ll follow up to hear how your date went so we can make better recommendations in the future. The app is free to use. Members looking to see who likes them, set advanced preferences, or access Hinge Experts can upgrade to a Preferred Membership. • Scammers Fake Profiles

Don’t get this, I’d say 2/3 of them are not real profiles, don’t waste your money! Doesn’t deserve even 1 star but I had to to post!
  • “Likes” vanishing, customer support does not reply

    By Datass420
I am a paid subscriber, very disappointed with the performance and lack of response from customer service. I have reported a bug several times that likes are disappearing from the app, customer support has not responded at all. Notifications will come in for new likes, or they will show up in the app, only to disappear minutes later. So frustrating to see all these potential matches disappear before I even get the opportunity to message them back.
  • Superior

    By TC459814
Hinge is superior to Tinder, Bumble, and other similar apps, hands down. It’s only annoying feature, something it shares with all these apps, is that it sorts people by their success. I wish these creators would see how pernicious these sorting algorithms are. In a sense, they facilitate a “rich get richer, poor get poorer” result, and bring out the worst in people’s superficial tendencies.
  • Forgettable

This app is loaded with catfishers, who will contact women from 100s of miles away, or even from other states. App geo data seems too weak to weed those out, plus allows too many likely scammers, fakers with phony profiles and questionable English-language skills, to flood this dating site.
  • i met my boyfriend on hinge :)

10/10 recommend this app to friends! i was on multiple dating apps for 2 years. i tried them ALL. bumble, tinder, POF.. even coffee meets bagel. bumble & tinder quickly became frustrating & more of a mindless swiping game. POF was too overwhelming, & i didn’t like that even with filtering preferences pretty much anyone of any age & from any state could still message me. coffee meets bagel had a good concept, but not enough users, so i barely got matches. my friend told me about hinge & i was immediately drawn to it. it was the first app of its kind & very unique. i downloaded it in August of 2018, so i don’t know if its layout & features are all still the same, but i loved what it offered even as a free user. HINGE TAKES SWIPING OUT OF THE EQUATION! as i said earlier, bumble & tinder became a mindless swiping game. towards the end, i would only go on them when i was bored. to match with someone on hinge, you like something specific in their profile. hinge also strays from the traditional bio & offers prompts for users to answer. i liked this approach because i felt you could get a better feel of what a person’s personality is like. hinge also offers more preferences. aside from just age & distance, you can filter in height, political preferences, religion, & other things as well. i liked that you could filter in religion because i was looking for someone who shared the same faith as me, & this profile layout allowed for that to be shared. the description of the app says it learns your type based off your profile & gives you matches that best suit you, & it’s actually true. i’ve been able to filter in religious preferences on some other apps, but would still match with people that didn’t have that as a preference on their end. on hinge, i was only shown profiles that had either Christian or Catholic listed & i really liked that. i also liked that on hinge i could see which users already liked me before choosing a match. from what i’ve read, i think this now may be a paid feature? i’m not too sure, but it was definitely a part of the free subscription when i had it. now i won’t say that on this app you’ll be more likely to find a relationship rather than if you were to look on bumble or tinder. because truthfully, i don’t think that has anything to do with an app, but with the users on them. i know plenty of people who found relationships off tinder & are very happy together. so, you do you! the swiping apps didn’t work for me, but i really enjoyed hinge. all in all, this is a great app. i would give 10/10 stars if i could. i NEVER thought i’d find a relationship from being on dating apps. i saw them as more of a way to pass time. i ended up meeting my boyfriend on hinge & couldn’t be happier. you never know what can happen!!!!

This app has bad connection. My messages have not been received or I’ll get messages from matches hours later.
  • Meh.

    By kchrish
I very rarely get notifications so I have to constantly open the app to see if I’ve received any messages or not. I also think there should be more chance to write about yourself on your profile, but I get the short and simple appeal. Maybe it’s just not my thing. It’s an ok app. Definitely better than Tinder. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • Same song, different app

    By dmota104
I found my experience with Hinge to be virtually no different from Bumble, Tinder, etc. I ran into too many fake profiles. A lady from a small town I lived in years ago (last known population 6000) liked my profile — and already I had a bad feeling about her. If she was legit, we’d be in a long distance relationship. I asked her about things that still stand in that tiny town and she conveniently evaded my questions. To the powers-that-be at Hinge and its competition: You need to clamp down on the fakers. Weeding out cheaters is also a good idea.

Please fix the discover section of the app! Ever since the new update, it stopped working.
