'Ultrasonic' brush Soocas So White EX3

Every day the jocular adage that soon even the socks will have to be loaded becomes not so joking. On his hand is an electronic bracelet or an electronic watch, in his pocket is a smartphone, next to the bed is an electronic alarm clock with a weather station, on his feet are running shoes with a battery, on his body is a heated jacket, and in the bathroom is an electric toothbrush. And this whole electric zoo needs to be charged …

Yes, electric brushes are not such a novelty, to say the least, but modern options boast the so-called ultrasonic cleaning method, which is designed to make the cleaning process itself easier and more efficient. We are trying to figure out how justified this is.

In general, my first acquaintance with electric toothbrushes took place quite a long time ago, and it was not the most positive, since the brush of one reputable company bought in the American BestBuy not only had an unnecessarily complicated design of a mechanical nozzle, but also very quickly fell into disrepair due to that water and the remains of toothpaste constantly got inside the mechanism. As a result, after this experience, I permanently excluded the electric toothbrush from my wish list.

The second acquaintance with this type of device took place about a month and a half ago, and another well-known company among geeks prompted me to do this – Xiaomi.

I was impressed by the reviews of the so-called ultrasonic brush. In the end, it was decided to give the electric brush a second chance.

However, as always, I did not want to spend a lot of money, so the choice fell on a very inexpensive option that has an indirect relationship to Xiaomi – Soocas SO White EX3.

The brush came to me in three weeks and spent about one and a half months with me, during which I managed to get acquainted in detail with all the advantages and disadvantages of this product and form my wishes for the future. Go.

The packaging is very modest. This is a plastic blister on a cardboard base, inside which is the brush itself and a miniature charger.

At first glance, it seems that the charging station has an elongated shape, but it is not. A wire is hidden in the elongated part of the package, and the station itself is a miniature glass inside which there are no contacts, and this is the first pleasant surprise – wireless charging. Wow, this is unexpected for this price.

We tear the packaging along the perforations and take out the brush. Here we are in for the second surprise – weight. Separated from the packaging and charger, the brush is surprisingly light at just 50 grams. I expected it to be heavier.

Low weight, on the one hand, is embarrassing, since I subconsciously associate the weight of a thing with its quality, on the other hand, this is a brush that will be in my hand, which means that a small weight will simplify the process of brushing your teeth.

We'll deal with this later.

I liked the appearance of the brush itself. It is a neat little cylinder with a minimum of protruding parts and graceful shapes.

Noteworthy is a small protrusion on the reverse side near the articulation of the nozzle with the handle. It is needed so that the brush lies stably on flat surfaces. Wait, what about the charging station? More on that later.

Of the controls, there is only one large convenient button that is responsible for turning on / off, as well as for switching operating modes, of which there are three:

1. Intensive cleaning

2. Soft cleaning

3. Massage cleaning

In fact, soft brushing is simply a reduced intensity of vibrations, while massage cleaning is an alternation of vibrations.

Pressing the button once turns on the brush. Subsequent single short presses switch modes. Long press turns off the brush. In this case, the brush remembers the mode in which it was turned off. Conveniently.

LEDs are located under the button as mode indicators. The bottom and largest indicator shows the charge. If it is green, the charge is sufficient. If it is red, the brush needs to be charged.

The brush head is white in both cases. Changeable.

The cleaning head is coated with light gray silicone. The head size is small.

The bristles are made from DuPont fibers and, according to the manufacturer, have a rounded profile for each bristle, which prevents injury to the gums.

Let's take the manufacturer's word for it, since there were no gum injuries during the use of the brush. Maybe it's true because of the rounded bristles, or maybe I'm just not that crazy and don't push the brush down to my white knuckles. ?

The nozzle can be easily removed. To do this, just pull it up. Under it is a white rod, which transmits vibration to the cleaning head. At the same time, it does not fly off by itself, and sits securely.

On the one hand, no revelations, on the other hand, the absence of visible moving parts pleases, which increases reliability.

All joints are even, gaps are minimal. No creaks, no crunches, everything looks reliable. From the point of view of assembly – a solid five. There are no complaints about the materials either – no extraneous odors.

The brush is protected from water according to the IPX7 standard, which means that it can be safely not only washed, but also immersed without fear of water penetration inside and damage to the mechanism and electronics. By the way, I didn’t spare her, I didn’t take the shore, I constantly washed it under running water and even experimented with immersion (where can I go without it). As a result, the brush works as on the first day.

Now about the impressions of the main function – brushing your teeth.

The first impression was very unusual – I immediately remembered an anecdote in which a man complains to a master in a service center about a TV, whose image is shaking when he gnaws crackers while watching TV programs.

The first impression is – wow, how it vibrates … By the way, the manufacturer claims 31 thousand vibrations per minute. During the cleaning process, the brush reminds you to change the cleaning area every 30 seconds, and the cleaning time is limited to two minutes, after which the brush turns off automatically. At first, these two minutes were absolutely not enough for me, and I had to turn it on again to clean my teeth.

However, after some time after getting used to this method of cleaning, it turned out that it was very easy to keep within two minutes, even without haste. The thing is that you start to approach brushing your teeth thoughtfully, working out a certain route in which you do not have to return to the covered areas because you forgot whether you brushed them or not. At first, this happened due to the fact that the brush brushes the teeth very delicately and they do not itch after brushing, as after a regular brush.

And at first it was unusual to just brush across my teeth, without reciprocating movements, but after a couple of days I got used to it so much that when I had to brush my teeth with a regular brush, for the first couple of seconds I tried to just drive her over the teeth.

There was also a lack of confidence in the quality of this cleaning method, but the fears were in vain – the teeth after this brush turned out to be clean. Moreover, a strange effect is observed – the enamel seems to be velvety to the touch. After trying to clean my teeth with a regular brush, it turned out that they are really clean and do not need additional cleaning.

At the same time, it would be wrong to talk about some kind of supernatural cleanliness of the teeth, but there is no lack of cleanliness either.

It seems to me that there is no ultrasonic emitter here as such, and we are talking about ultrasound, this is just a marketing ploy, behind which is simply an ultra-high vibration frequency. Even so, I do not see a problem in this, since the brush does its job perfectly well.

Returning to the protrusion on the back of the brush, I should note that this element is there due to the fact that the brush is extremely rare on the base – about once every 20-25 days. The rest of the time, it lies on the shelf near the sink, since one charge of the built-in 700 mAh battery lasts about 25 days. This was a very unexpected and pleasant surprise for me.

Impressions

Both the price-quality ratio and the well-known brand Xiaomi made me choose this option, which, as it turned out later, was not entirely correct. The fact is that the manufacturer of these brushes, the Soocas company, is indirectly related to Xiaomi. Fortunately, this did not affect the quality of the device.

Also, choosing an electric brush for myself, I was looking for the most inexpensive option, just to try what it is – an ultrasonic brush, and after a while I understand that I made the right conclusion without overpaying for unnecessary functions. The cost of a brush in online stores, for example, on Aliexpress, is only $ 17-20. For this price, you get a device that does its job well.

'Ultrasonic' brush Soocas So White EX3

Yes, this brush does not have its own application with which it can synchronize brushing data and make recommendations based on this data. There is no wireless technology for communicating with a smartphone (why is this a brush?). But there is wireless charging, and a long battery life, and most importantly, good quality of teeth cleaning, which, in fact, is required from this kind of device. Moreover, I liked this brush so much that I ordered these brushes for all family members as additional New Year gifts.

By the way, now sellers are reporting a change in the name of the model and ask you not to worry, since the change of the name did not entail a change in quality – this is the same brush, so you can search by the old name – Soocas So White EX3, and by the new – Soocas Pinjing EX3 .
