Somehow imperceptibly gadgets Xiaomi have firmly entered my life. Next to the bed there is a smart scale from Xiaomi, in the bathroom there is a brush from Xiaomi, which evaluates on a 100-point scale how I brush my teeth and reminds me to change my stubble. A 'smart' light bulb is screwed into the bedside lamp, the main advantage of which is the ability to control it from a smartphone, and not reach for the switch. In the kitchen in the corner there is a column from Xiaomi to prepare breakfast, listening to songs and podcasts, and the water to 85 degrees (ideal for my tea) heats the kettle from Xiaomi. I cannot say that all gadgets are perfect, but they fulfill their function and do not strain. For this reason, I was very curious about the vacuum cleaner.

By positioning Xiaomi Handheld Vacuum Cleaner pulls on the role of the second additional vacuum cleaner. It is compact, lightweight. With it, you can easily clean up the kitchen if you spill something. It is also great for vacuuming a car interior. This is convenient because the working attachments can be attached both to the extension pipe and directly to the vacuum cleaner itself.
Vacuum cleaner 'selling chips' Xiaomi Handheld Vacuum Cleaner:
- Cyclonic engine, that is, power does not drop as dust accumulates;
- Dust in the dust container is clumped together. Easy to shake out;
- The mattress brush allows 99.9% to 'knock out' dust mites from the mattress;
- Built-in filters keep dust out of the blowing holes;
- Wide range of brushes.
The main unit Xiaomi Handheld Vacuum Cleaner weighs 1.5 kg. It consists of a motor, filter and dust collector.
The transparent dust container can be easily detached. It is convenient to pour dust out of it, since the lower part has a latch. The orange filter cannot be disassembled. From there, you just get a typical cushion pad, which is also easy to wash and dry.
The top of the block, from where the air is blown out, is detached. You can wipe with a cloth, but dust does not accumulate there.
There are almost no controls on the vacuum cleaner. Only a button on the handle, pressing which starts the vacuum cleaner, and a high-power button. The vacuum cleaner works only when the power button is pressed. The maximum power button does not need to be held down, but after each activation it will need to be reactivated.
Comes with a good set of brushes and an extension tube
The most interesting brush is, of course, the floor brush. She is the biggest. It is a roller wrapped in a material on which dust adheres perfectly. The trick of the brush is that it is electric and when the vacuum cleaner is turned on, the roller begins to rotate. The roller is very gentle, so while it is clean, it is quite possible to massage it. There is a groove on the side of the brush, turning which, you can remove the roller and wash it under the tap.
The second brush is intended, as stated in the instructions, for cleaning mattresses or car seats. It has a rotating brush. I tried using it to clean the parquet flooring under the bedside table as the main brush was too big. The result is excellent, but the plastic of the brush scratches very quickly.
The vacuum cleaner copes well with spilled coffee, rice, dust. For anything that is not as flat as dust, it is best to use a mattress nozzle or narrow long nozzles. The rotating large electric brush simply will not hook the grains of rice, and if it does, they can get stuck in the plastic transparent casing.
For example, on the rug, I sprinkled a handful of sand (finally got around to shaking out beach coral slippers), and also poured a handful of rice. The vacuum cleaner coped with the task perfectly at minimum power. I used maximum power to suck in the small particles remaining in the relief of the rug.
The battery life, according to Xiaomi, is 30 minutes. It didn't work out that way. In standard mode, the operating time was 24 minutes. If you turn on the maximum power, then the vacuum cleaner will last for 13 minutes.
There is an LED on the vacuum cleaner unit. It glows white when the charge is more than 60%, orange – from 20% to 60%, and red when the charge is less than 20%. Full charging time is 1 hour.
When the vacuum cleaner is charging, you cannot use it. And this would be inconvenient, since the charging plug easily pops out, a minimum effort is enough. By the way, this is good. You will not be able to catch on and turn off the vacuum cleaner.
I have mixed impressions of the vacuum cleaner. On the one hand, it is lightweight, simple. It is convenient for them to clean up if they spill something, or to quickly vacuum the hallway. No extra steps are needed, as with a conventional vacuum cleaner. Xiaomi Handheld Vacuum Cleaner just take it and vacuum it right away. It is also nice to walk to the car with such a vacuum cleaner. 10 minutes and the salon is clean.
I have a typical rental apartment of 33 square meters. And the charge of the vacuum cleaner was enough to vacuum the hallway, room and kitchen in the basic mode, plus the increased power mode was used from time to time. Such a cleaning took me 17 minutes, and the light of the charge blinked red, that is, it asked for the base.
I also liked the claim that a mattress brush 'kills' 99.9% of dust mites. How can I check this?
Cons, I think, you yourself can isolate. As I wrote above, this is the second vacuum cleaner, if you like, the 'assistant vacuum cleaner'. The Handheld Vacuum Cleaner is not designed for full apartment cleaning Xiaomi. You will have time to vacuum the 'odnushka', the 'kopeck piece' is gone.
This problem could probably be solved if the vacuum cleaner allowed itself to be used when connected to a charger. But here, of course, we are talking about a different technical solution. For example, if a long cable could be connected to the vacuum cleaner unit.
I can't say anything about the price. Let me know in the comments. Is 12 thousand expensive for such a vacuum cleaner or a good price?
