I'm launching a pilot release of the monthly author's collection of applications, in which I will talk about new and simply interesting applications and games for Android.
So, there are three programs in the pilot release: Panorama – a simple service to remind you to do things; YMusic – an application for listening and downloading music from YouTube; Partial Screen is a utility for correcting defects or damage to the smartphone sensor. And also three games: Mekorama – a simple puzzle with a small robot; Alphabear – a word game with cute cubs; and finally, Nintendo's Mario Run runner is now available for Android.
YMusic
The YouTube mobile app is not designed to run in the background. There is no quick method to download audio track from videos. But this video hosting has a huge amount of unique music, lectures, podcasts, where you don't need a picture, but only sound. The YMusic app will help you with this.
It works simply. We saw an interesting video that we wanted to listen to without video – in the YouTube mobile client, click the 'Share' button and select one of the items in the YMusic application. The audio track can be played online, added to the queue, or downloaded.
Also YMusic can be used as a simple music player, but this is not its main function.
Of course, such an application could not be missed on Google Play. Therefore, it can be installed by downloading the apk file (verified source).
Panorama
Do you ever have a situation when you need to write something down quickly and constantly remind yourself of it? This happens often with me: throw out the trash, call someone, buy something in the store, and so on. For this, there are so-called 'to-do' services, but for some reason they do not have a primitive function for quickly adding a note to the notification panel. You can use reminders for this, but this is not always convenient.
The Panorama app has this option. It works like this: you need to write something down, open the application, write down a phrase, choose the color of the card and it immediately appears in the notification panel. Now this inscription hangs before your eyes and you will not forget to do it.
When the job is done, you swipe the notification and you are happy for yourself.
The application is as simple as possible, and it's also free. Recommend.
Partial screen
Unfortunately, even modern devices are imperfect. Screens break, a defect is found, even a banal saving on components – because of all this, problems with the sensor may appear. Some of these problems can be solved by the Partial screen application.
The program can automatically identify problem areas in which phantom clicks appear. If the algorithm did not find anything and did not fix the problem, then there is a manual mode. You find the 'affected' area of the display and create a virtual patch – you can adjust its size, color and transparency. Now, false and phantom presses will not appear in this area, but in general this area of the sensor will not react. This is a forced measure in case of breakdown.
Mekorama
A location is given, divided into cells, your task is to bring the robot to the red cell on the level. You control a small unnamed robot, indicating the cell to move. To get to a certain point, you need to change the elements of the environment, moving blocks and other elements of the environment to overcome obstacles. Also, the location can be rotated and viewed from different angles.
A simple and unpretentious game with moderately difficult levels and nice graphics. There are 50 of them, but you can create locations yourself and run levels from other players. It reminded me of the hit Monument Valley.
I recommend giving it a try. In addition, the game is free, but if you wish, you can thank the developer by paying 30 rubles or more.
Alphabear
Analogue of the game “Balda”, but with cute bears and in English.
The principle of the game is simple – a playing field is given from a certain number of cells, a bear appears in the center of the cell, next to it several letters. From them you need to make a word, the longer and more difficult the word, the more points you get. When you use a letter, the cage is cleared and filled with other bears.
Each letter has a timer. If you don't use it in time, it will turn into stone, and bears will not be able to take this place. And the more bears there are by the end of the level, the more points you get. These points are needed to open other game modes with different bears and building cages.
The game is shareware, with all that it implies. But they don't draw much money if you play two or three times a day, and you don't need more.
Perfect if you want to practice your English vocabulary.
Super mario run
The sensational game from Nintendo has also reached Android. This is a side-view runner starring the legendary Italian plumber Mario. However, you can play as other characters, but more on that later.
Many Mario Run gameplay will be understandable if they are at least a little familiar with Mario games. Run across the levels, collect coins, crush monsters, overcome obstacles. Only in a mobile game, the character runs by himself, without stopping, and you need to guess the moment for a jump or a trick. The main goal of the game is to defeat Bowser, the plumber's main enemy, and rescue Princess Peach.
The free version of Mario Run has a first world with four levels. The other five worlds can be unlocked by purchasing the full version. It will also open up various bonuses in the form of new characters and other things.
Now the fun part is the price. The game costs 635 rubles and a tax of 114 rubles must be added to this. Total mobile game will cost 749 rubles. Expensive. Even too much.
I passed the first 4 levels not without pleasure, but I did not dare to buy the next levels.
