BEDDI: Interesting concept of a bedside gadget

It may well be that BEDDI will turn from a concept to a real device, at least the potential is visible. Here is the 'kickstarter' page, you can support the creators. In short, most bedside devices now are either a simple speaker with charging, or just charging, or charging for several devices at once. But we don't just charge our gadgets in bed – we want to get something more. Here BEDDI is the 'more' we can provide. In fact, this is part of a 'smart home', but any home can be made as such, if you wish.

BEDDI: Interesting concept of a bedside gadget

I'll try to tell you about BEDDI in the usual manner, one-two-three. Firstly, using the buttons on the device, you can control Philips bulbs, you will need to somehow pair and then, with just one click, increase or decrease the light intensity. Secondly, there are two USB ports for charging gadgets plus an unusual cradle. The video shows a device based on Android, which is correct, there is nothing to cram everywhere iOS, already tired. Thirdly, BEDDI can work with NEST thermostats and Belkin wireless sockets, so when you wake up, the house temperature will automatically change and the coffee machine will start making coffee. I, too, when I watched the video, was very surprised – after all, it's like a simple alarm clock and you have so many functions on it.

And you can also call Uber in one click, there is also a speaker and the ability to start playing streaming services, it also has its own backlight and recorded white noise so that you can wake up easily.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the end. This is not a laser razor, nothing incredible, but BEDDI has combined several very correct things – music, light, charging, the ability to work as a remote control, a kind of trigger for a 'smart home'. I'd like to test it.
