Evie launcher

Best Apps for Android 2016

Evie Launcher didn't get much attention for most of the year. For those who are not in the know, this is a minimalistic launcher without a list of running applications. The launcher is not as full of features as, for example, Nova Launcher, but there are more options available than, for example, Google Now Launcher. Nice and free stuff too.

Google Allo / Duo

Google Allo and Duo made a splash with their release. In the end, they waited for months, and what we received did not quite coincide with our expectations. And yet, over the past months, both applications have become quite passable communication platforms. The main advantages of Duo are ease of use and cross-platform functionality. And Allo is the only way to access Google Assistant without a Pixel. Of course, we expect further improvements, so even if something doesn't suit you right now, it makes sense to keep an eye on these apps.

By all accounts, the results aren't nearly as impressive as the technology behind them, but you have a selection of pretty weird filters that people really like.
