Camera HTC One A9: shooting in RAW in low light

Based on materials from blog.htc.com

How good is the camera in HTC One A9? Pictures always speak louder than any words. So let's take a look at the photos taken in the harsh conditions of lack of light and see what this device is capable of.

The HTC One A9 has a 13MP main camera with OIS, f / 2.0 aperture, sapphire lens, fully manual Pro mode, and RAW shooting. She's accompanied by a front-facing UltraPixel camera that picks up three times more light than a regular one and lets you take great selfies even at parties in a dark room.

Testing the A9 as a photo solution was entrusted to Spencer, a very versatile person: a bartender and bar owner, engineer, photographer, judo black belt and trainer. At the same time, he is an avid geek and fan Android. There is simply no better candidate. With Spencer's help, we tried to get the most out of RAW shooting and enhancement algorithms. Well, let's see!

In this shot, the shutter speed has been increased to two seconds to capture the movement of the bartender along with the still glass.

Pay attention to the rim of the glass. Thanks to the RAW image enhancement, it was possible to recover the pixels lost in the original overexposed image.

The next series of photos was taken in auto mode and edited with built-in color filters. With simple steps, you can make Spencer's bar look like it came straight from the 1920s.

And now – Spencer's comments on shooting with HTC One A9:

'' The camera interface is fast and intuitive, easy to switch between effects and shooting modes. In daylight, the camera shot quickly and practically did not slow down.

The case is pleasant in the hand thanks to its elongated shape combined with a wider bezel. In general, the quality of the speakers, screen, buttons (and at the same time their location) is very pleasing from an aesthetic point of view.

Obvious UI improvements on top of what's already in Android Lollipop – everything just worked, and most of the options were available without much thought, intuitively. '
