Simple and convenient twitter client for Android for 69 rubles. Assessing the pros and cons of Flamingo.

After reviewing the Talon app, several readers recommended that I take a look and evaluate the Flamingo Twitter client myself, so that's what we'll do today.

Talon app for Twitter

Let's start traditionally with the appearance, since there is definitely something to talk about. Firstly, I really like the top bar with division into feed, mentions and private messages. Talon doesn't have this, which is very inconvenient. Double-clicking on the current tab immediately takes you to the last tweet, which is again more convenient than the Talon's 'up' pop-up window.

When you click on a tweet, the main actions are displayed immediately below it. Conveniently, separate buttons are used for simple retweets and retweets with a comment, I'm already tired of these swipes and long presses.

All popular photo hosting sites are supported, from the official pic.twitter.com to Instagram. Long press opens a preview of the image.

Those who like to use translators will like the Translate function, however, when you click on the button, a separate browser window opens with Google Translate, that is, this is not done entirely natively.

There are a lot of interesting things in the settings: you can add hours for turning on night mode, choose one of several themes, enable / disable notifications for various actions, add a new account and view the list of blocked users.

The Advanced tab provides even finer customization for the enthusiast.

I enjoyed using Flamingo with great pleasure, even considering that the app is still in beta. For 69 rubles, this is an excellent offer (considering that some now put price tags on their programs for 350-700 rubles).
