Friday column number 104. Unswitched beep

Today we will discuss the wonderful service 'Beep' from our excellent operators!

yarn column No. 104. Unswitched beep

To be honest, for a very long time I wanted to discuss this important and annoying problem with you, dear readers. At work, I periodically have to call a large number of unfamiliar numbers, and some of them have these terrible 'beeps'. In some cases, this is a harmless musical version of the MegaFon anthem, in other situations – some terrible track or music in the style of 'dyts-dyts'. And I think that you have already guessed, it is in these cases that you most often have to hang on the line for a very long time, and sometimes even call several times.

By the way, many users are not even aware that the same 'Beep' was installed in their load, and they are very surprised when you tell them about an annoying melody instead of a beep.

And now let's move on to the main problem of 'Beep': we are talking about the inability to force the installation of ordinary beeps instead of stupid tracks and songs. And this is a completely unfair situation. Why should I listen to music that I do not like, considering that I, and not another subscriber, pay for the outgoing call.

Before writing this article, I decided to briefly consult with Sergei Potresov, and suddenly there is such a service, I just missed its availability. Sergei noted that one of the operators definitely had it, as a result, with a general search, we found the same link on the MegaFon website.

Do you want to hear your favorite music instead of a dial tone? Subscribe to the 'Personal dial tone' service, and for any outgoing call you will hear the melodies or jokes that you have chosen!

Among the preset melodies, you can also select regular beeps. And now the most interesting thing is that the service is paid! That is, in order not to listen to music connected by another subscriber, I have to pay 45 rubles a month. To be honest, the practice is completely idiotic, it is tantamount to a paid shutdown of incoming advertising spam from various companies. The operator first makes me listen to unnecessary music, and then offers to turn it off for a fee.

Well, at least this way, as far as I understand, MTS and Beeline do not have such services to disable the 'Beep' at all, but if I'm wrong, please correct me in the comments (preferably with a link to the service).
