The company's desire HTC to make the most of the power of the One brand of its eponymous line of smartphones is understandable. In the memory of the company's fans, and just users, there are still really cool smartphones HTC One M7 and HTC One X. True, in my opinion, in 2015, the Taiwanese company did a little overdone with the desire to put literally all more or less interesting models into the 'One' series. But this is where the One E9 Plus is located – a large, large smartphone in a plastic case, with a low price and an amazing screen.
To be honest, I started this little text only for the sake of the screen, because HTC One E9 Plus has a very high-quality matrix from the times when the company HTC was famous for some of the best displays on the market in its devices (yes, things are a little different now).
The smartphone uses a 5.5 'diagonal display with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels (534 ppi) based on IPS LCD – matrix. Viewing angles are maximum, even if you tilt the device so that the display plane is barely visible – there is no distortion. Deviations at right angles, diagonally are not important. For me personally, the color reproduction is ideal, about the same as in HTC One M7 and M8. That is, these are warm colors, but without accentuated care in very warm or cold shades. At the same time, there is juiciness and brightness, the screen is not as faded as in M9, for example, but also not as contrasting as Super AMOLED. Set up just fine.
The ppi value of 534 means maximum clarity and detail of the picture. Even if you peer at the edges of the icons on the screen from a distance of a couple of centimeters, you will not see 'ladders', graininess and something like that. I'm not even talking about the fact that at a normal distance to the screen, the image on it is very smooth and clear, this is understandable and so.
What else? Signature stereo speakers on the front panel, above and below the screen, with BoomSound technology. The sound is good – moderately loud, there are low frequencies, which is still a rarity for smartphones. As a device for watching movies and TV shows, even at home, on the couch or in bed, for example, HTC One E9 Plus is perfect, I think. Especially if you want to watch a movie in bed, but you don't want to hold or somehow set up a heavy tablet in front of you. With a smartphone, these problems are easier to solve.
About the platform Mediatek MT6795M Helio X10, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, three slots on the case (two for nanoSIM cards and one for a microSD memory card), 20 megapixel main camera and 4 megapixel front camera in the review. We will also discuss the quality of the photo, the operating time of the smartphone (the battery is not a record holder – only 2800 mAh) and other things.
In the meantime, I'm just looking at the screen HTC One E9 Plus and can't get enough of its quality. Despite the fact that the smartphone is not positioned as a flagship and a plastic case is confirmation of this, it uses, in my opinion, the best display ever used by the company HTC in its devices. So it goes.
