3D photography using an ordinary smartphone, a pocket computer, a smart light bulb, a miniature camera supporting Micro Four Thirds and an original way to add a second SIM card to any smartphone …
Bevel. When 2D isn't enough
Engineers at Matter And Form Inc. think photography is great, but in some situations a 'flat' 2D picture may not be enough. Indeed, in many cases the 3D model would be more suitable, but how to get it?

In fact, there is nothing complicated here, shooting in 3D is slightly more difficult than in 2D. And what is most interesting, a regular smartphone with just one small accessory is enough for this.
Bevel connects to a smartphone via a standard 3.5 audio jack, and uses a laser beam that is harmless to the eyes to scan an object. The developers emphasize that we are talking about real 3D shooting, not imitation. In theory, such three-dimensional images can even be printed on a special printer.
An example of such a photo can be viewed by clicking on the picture below (the photo can be rotated with the mouse). It is difficult to call such an image a serious photography, but the camera clearly has the potential. Especially when you consider that the price of the accessory is relatively low and is only $ 39

Remix Mini. Pocket PC
Jide Tech has unveiled a miniature PC project called Remix Mini. Outwardly, it resembles a sea pebble or, if you like, a bar of soap. But, despite its completely frivolous appearance, it is much more than just a toy.

The computer is powered by an Allwinner A64 64-bit quad-core ARM processor, is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, as well as HDMI, USB, Ethernet and microSD connectors. There is also more 'advanced' equipment, which includes 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
The operating system was chosen Remix OS – the company's own development, which is a revised version Android.

Camera E1. Less is better
The Z Camera E1 is another tiny but pretty serious device.

Like many other people, Jason Zhang employees are tired of constantly trying to compromise between camera size and image quality. Professional cameras provide almost limitless possibilities for creativity, only they require careful handling and are rather bulky. Not everyone will be ready to carry such a camera with them everywhere. The smartphone's camera shoots much worse, but it is always with you and often allows you to take a unique shot that would have been missed otherwise. The only pity is that the quality of such images often leaves much to be desired.
According to the developers, Camera E1 is the world's smallest camera with support for the Micro Four Thirds standard and the ability to record video in 4K. The camera received a 16 MP matrix, a small 2.5-inch screen, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, with which it can be controlled remotely using a smartphone.

PIECE. iPhone with two SIM cards?
Many people need a smartphone with dual SIM support, which severely limits their choice of device. Of course, no one forbids buying the same iPhone, only then you will have to carry another 'pipe' with him, which is very inconvenient.
[iframe url = '// www.kickstarter.com/projects/35224746/piece-change-the-way-you-use-smart-phones/widget/video.html' width = '640 ″ height =' 360 ″ scrolling = 'no' frameborder = '0 ″ marginheight =' 0 ″]
A device called PIECE allows you to solve these problems once and for all by turning any smartphone on Android or iOS into a two-digit one. All that is required of the user is to insert a SIM card into the device and install a proprietary application on the smartphone. That's it, now you can switch between SIM cards without any difficulty, taking calls and sending CMC from any available number.
The accessory turned out to be very compact, its size does not exceed the size of a regular credit card, so it will not cause any special inconvenience to its owner. As a bonus, it has a couple of additional functions – for example, it will warn you in time that you have forgotten your smartphone on a table in a cafe.

Ilumi. Artificial intelligence light bulb
To be honest, I don't really follow smart home devices. In my opinion, while this is all too expensive, difficult, unreliable and not particularly useful. Nevertheless, it is already obvious that the potential of such things is very great.
[iframe url = '// www.kickstarter.com/projects/ilumi/the-new-ilumi-a-better-smartbulb/widget/video.html' width = '640 ″ height =' 360 ″ scrolling = 'no' frameborder = '0 ″ marginheight =' 0 ″]
Ilumi solutions thinks about the same. The developers of this company set out to release the smartest and most convenient light bulb for a smart home, and also at an affordable price. Firstly, it can be controlled with a smartphone by manually choosing a color. And secondly, you can turn on one of several 'smart' modes, in which the light bulb can turn on when the motion sensor is triggered, change the strength and color of the glow, adjusting to the sleeping phase of a sleeping person, blink to the beat of the music, and so on.
Theoretically, the lifespan of such a 'smart' lamp should be as much as 20 years, although I suspect that it can only live so much on a test bench, and not in an apartment. One lamp will cost those who supported the project $ 35.
