3D virtual reality headphones, portable camping sofa, budget drone replacement, miniature crawler robot, rope lamp and flying brush stand …
OSSIC X
Talk about virtual reality has been going on for several decades, and there have been enough attempts to release VR glasses. But the real hype rose precisely after the announcement of the Oculus Rift glasses, which appeared on Kickstarter as a very common project.
But reality, even virtual, is not just a picture. It also includes smells, tactile and taste sensations … and, of course, sounds. Moreover, ordinary headphones for listening to music for VR are not very suitable; something else is needed to fully immerse yourself in the virtual world. For example, the Ossic X 3D headphones.
The developer of the device is the Ossic company, which was founded by immigrants from Logitech and Pioneer. Apparently, the intentions of the company are no less serious than those of Oculus, and Kickstarter for them is not so much the first and last chance to raise money, but an opportunity to declare themselves. However, with the collection of money, everything turned out very well too – at the moment Ossic managed to raise $ 2,708,472 instead of the requested $ 100,000.
In a sense, virtual reality headphones are even more complex than a helmet or glasses. If we mainly see only what is in front of us, then we hear absolutely everything that is happening around. And here it is much more difficult to deceive oneself, because sound is a complex thing. One slight tilt or turn of the head is enough for some sounds to sound clearer and brighter, while others are softer and softer.
According to the developers, OSSIC X has everything you need to create the most natural sound picture. The headphones automatically adjust to the user and not only track every turn of the head, but also take into account the shape of the skull, the fit of the ears and other anatomical features of the wearer.
Hidden in each ear cup are four speakers that create truly spacious and believable sound.

Riley
Not so long ago it seemed that a home computer in every family would appear in a hundred years at best. Painfully, this is a complex, expensive and far from the needs of ordinary people.
Now something similar can be said about robots. The direction seems to be promising, and no one argues that there is a future behind it, but nevertheless, a personal house robot (or 'house robot'? ..) is a fantasy.
But the Riley developers think differently. And even if at first glance their miniature robot looks more like a radio-controlled toy, in fact, it can make an excellent assistant. He can keep track of the house day and night, inform about unexpected guests who have appeared in your absence, record and transmit a voice message and even play with your dog. Well, or she will play with him – that's how lucky.
Thanks to the tracks, the robot has increased cross-country ability, which will not be superfluous, because usually for a kid of this size, even an ordinary carpet is a serious obstacle. Riley has no such problems, he freely moves around the house both in automatic mode and in manual mode. It is also not necessary to monitor its charge, when it is necessary, the robot will go to the charging platform by itself.
The cost of a miniature robot starts at $ 159

Birdie
But a normal drone with an action camera is a much more expensive toy, and besides, it has many disadvantages. The only problem with battery life is worth it.
Ianai Urwicz proposed to solve this problem in a very original way – to replace the drone with a special case for an action camera, reminiscent of a huge shuttlecock.
Now all you have to do is toss the camera up and wait for it to take a picture itself. And then it is highly desirable to have time to catch it, because I personally have a developer's stories about the wonderful anti-nuclear qualities of the cover cause great doubts. Although in the video they are thrown around like a ball, and such a free handling of photographic equipment does not lead to any problems.

Luminoodle COLOR & BASECAMP
There have always been enough unusual lamps, lanterns and other lighting fixtures on Kickstarter, but Luminoodle BASECAMP manages to stand out even against their background. Outwardly, this lamp most of all resembles an ordinary rope, and its length reaches 6 meters.
The luminaire supports several different colors, has several types of mounts and is able to work from one battery charge up to 10 hours. Judging by the video above, the device has a huge number of use cases, while the price does not bite too much and starts at $ 24.

KAISR Original
Dreams are different for all people. Someone dreams of robots and artificial intelligence, someone of a magic flying carpet … and someone of a portable sofa that is always at hand.
The KAISR is the perfect parachute fabric inflatable sofa that inflates in almost one stroke.
The sofa has everything you need for a comfortable camping life, from eyelets for pegs to compartments for magazines and cans of drinks … and even a built-in beer opener. And it also floats well, so it can be used as an inflatable raft.

Wristocat
Diseases of the wrists (ranging from the infamous tunnel syndrome) are one of the occupational diseases of both avid gamers and office workers. And in general, almost everyone who constantly works at the computer.
Part of the problem is solved by brush stands and mouse pads with special pads. One problem is that most of these things are very inconvenient. When working with a mouse, all these stands and pillows only interfere and sometimes even rub your hand.
Wristocat is a new type of brush stand that literally floats above the table. Thanks to its design and elastic material, it easily adapts to all movements of the user's hand, without distracting him from work at all.
The name of the device was not chosen by chance, because who better to keep up with the mouse, if not a cat?
