Let's talk about music

Hello dear readers. In today's gatherings, I would like to discuss listening to music on Android with you.

Let's talk about music

I can't call myself an audiophile, but a music lover – definitely. For me, music is a very important part of life, it helps to calm down, concentrate, relax, and cheer me up. Of course, listening to music from your phone is a natural use case under these circumstances. For a long time the role of a music player was played by a small iPod Shuffle donated by friends. However, at one point he got lost and I returned to using my smartphone. Over the past five years I have tried many players, but in the end I settled on DoubleTwist, there are two reasons for this – excellent functionality and the ability to sync with your iTunes library.

By the way, at one time I actively used Play Music, until Google introduced a limit on the number of tied devices. No, I probably stopped using it even earlier: after it failed to support the import of current playlists from iTunes (you can do the initial import, but then the playlist lists, etc. will not be updated).

As for the sound quality, it does not play an important role for me, although of course I notice the difference between good and bad headphones. It’s just not that important to me.

Accordingly, I wanted to ask you if you often listen to music from your smartphone? How important is sound quality to you? Which player are you using and why? What headphones?

Let's talk about music

The idea for today's article was born completely by accident. Recently I talked with one friend and he mentioned that he could not work at all with the music on, he was just distracted and that's it. I was very surprised by this review, so I decided to share my thoughts on the topic.

Does music interfere with your work?

I, unlike that friend, on the contrary, cannot work in silence. Music creates a certain working mood for me, but it is important to find the right playlist, I just have several different ones in iTunes. Plus, we have thin walls at home, and I'd rather listen to my favorite songs than the TV playing at the neighbors'.

Music and reading

Basically, I feel equally comfortable both reading in complete silence and in the company of music. It's a nice background noise, nothing more.

Music and mood

I already talked about this in one of the releases of the mobile environment, but I will repeat it again. Music is medicine for the soul. I beg your pardon for some poetry, but this phrase most accurately conveys my attitude to my favorite compositions. There are people who need to drink alcohol or a sedative to relax and put their nerves in order, but music is my calming one. And yes, I have a dedicated playlist for this.

Music player

At Android, I use the DoubleTwist player because it can sync songs to my iTunes library. The appearance of Apple Music did not please me at all, since you are only given access to your songs by purchasing a subscription, which I do not use very often. I tried Play Music, but it also doesn't sync well with iTunes, and I didn't really like the service of their recommendations.

Conclusion

Well, in conclusion, let me ask you, dear readers, what role does music play in your life? Can you work or read to it? Does it help you distract yourself on the subway? What music apps do you use?
