Lineup Motorola

As you all remember, Lenovo acquired the company Motorola and made a strategic decision that there will be no more phones Lenovo, only Moto will remain. At the moment, Moto has five actual lines, each of which has its own characteristics, advantages and price.

Moto C

Entry-level devices are produced under this line. It is clear that they cannot dump to the level of unknown Chinese Lenovo, so we decided to focus on simple and understandable advantages: speed of work, stock Android and fresh security updates, style unity with the rest of the line of devices.

Moto E

The devices of the middle segment, where the emphasis is not on characteristics, but on materials. Beautiful cases, bright colors, pleasant tactile sensations – all this is Moto E. In fact, this line occupies an intermediate place between C and G.

Moto G

Typical midrange, balanced in characteristics and price, in my opinion, the most massive smartphones. In fact, Moto G is one of the few devices on almost stock Android with up-to-date updates and good specs. And in this line, they usually do not save on the NFC module. By the way, these are Moto's bestsellers in terms of the number of devices sold.

Moto X

A couple of years ago, Moto X was the flagship line, but now the current models have a different positioning. For example, the Moto X4 is clearly aimed at young people, and this is evident in its design, and in advertising and promotion.

Moto Z

Flagship line consisting of three models.

  • Z is the flagship of the line, the thinnest and lightest of all Moto
  • Z Play is a long-playing device, a compromise in performance and price
  • Z Force – a protected version of the flagship

The main feature of the Z line is the work with additional Moto MODS modules. With their help, you can significantly expand the capabilities of a smartphone: connect a projector module to it, listen to music from a speaker module, use a joystick module for toys, and instead of an external battery, take with you a back cover with a built-in battery.

Geeks will love the stock Android, support for less common functions (Wi-Fi Calling, VoLTE), fast work and timely updates.

Conclusion

Basically, Moto is now building quite a logical price distribution by line.

  • Moto C – smartphones up to 10 thousand rubles
  • Moto G – smartphones from 10 to 20 thousand rubles
  • Moto X – segment 20-30 thousand rubles
  • Moto Z – flagship devices from 30 thousand and above.

Separately, I would like to note the device software updates, this is definitely the company's strong point. So inexpensive Moto C and U get only security updates and bug fixes. For G, in addition to them, one major update Android is released, and X and Z receive bug fixes and two major updates. Pretty good, you see, considering that this is not a Google Pixel.
