Greetings, dear readers. As we continue to check out the new modules for the Moto Z line, I chose the Moto TurboPower Pack MOD for today's post. This is an updated back cover with built-in battery.
Appearance
The main material of the module is ribbed rubberized plastic, thanks to which a smartphone with TurboPower connected is very pleasant to hold in the hand, plus it does not slip out. The connection is very simple – you place the module against the back of your smartphone and charging starts.
To remove the cover, you need to pry the module by the groove located at the bottom end, and the Type C port on the side is used for charging.
There are four LED indicators on the back cover to check the charge of the module. Click on the button next to them and see how charged it is.
An alternative option is to connect it to your smartphone, and the charge level will be immediately displayed on the screen.
Dimensions
The dimensions of the module are 153 x 73.4 x 6.58, and the weight is 95 grams. A smartphone with TurboPower connected becomes plump and weighty, however, it is still comfortable to use.
Features and charging
The battery capacity of the TurboPower Pack MOD is 3490 mAh, which on average is enough for one full charge of the Moto Z2 Play. The main feature of this module is that it supports fast charging! It is similar in speed to Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0. That is, in half an hour you will receive about 50% of the charge, and in an hour – 90%. The module can also work in an 'efficient' mode, when it is turned on, the smartphone's charge is constantly maintained at 80%. If you charge the smartphone in the module, then a pass-through connection is ensured, since the smartphone receives fast charging from the power supply, and the module itself charges at normal speed.
Conclusion
In retail, Moto TurboPower Pack MOD is sold for 4,100 rubles. I must note that you get used to such an accessory very quickly. Unlike a conventional external battery, it does not require additional wires and can be charged at the same time with your smartphone. At the same time, I can't say that Moto Z2 Play is becoming less convenient to use in conjunction with TurboPower.
In my opinion, this is the most demanded of all modules, and it was after using it that I regretted that there were no such accessories for other smartphones.
