Apparently, Samsung is really playing up the stakes in the area of improving the user experience. This whole story began a year and a half ago, when the company first showed that it was hearing disgruntled voices from users talking about the lack of 'premium' Galaxy devices. Experiments have begun with the Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 4 with its metal frame. We all know how it ended – the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge had enough polish, as they do now – their successors this year, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, which now have microSD support and water resistance – two features about which users called out.
We've also heard that Samsung has plans for a number of countries to launch specific customer services that will hopefully expand to most markets around the world.
In the meantime, the company is launching the Samsung Members app, a hub for easy access to everything Galaxy-related, especially when it comes to troubleshooting. The new app will allow users to run various diagnostic options for the device, including battery, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi health and operation, as well as get answers to the most frequently asked questions or contact a specialist for a 'live' consultation on the Galaxy device. And if none of the above helps, a dedicated Samsung Members option can help you find your nearest Samsung Authorized Service Center.
In creating this app, Samsung also wanted to create a sense of unity among its fans by giving them the opportunity to correspond. Users will be able to discuss 'everything related to Samsung products'. It is hoped that the company will use this correspondence in order to find out what users really need.
Finally, using Samsung Members, users will be able to receive privileges and discount coupons that they can use on their next visit to the Samsung Store or Support Center. Obviously, there will be several 'levels' of privileges, but how this will be implemented is not yet clear.
