Rumors about Samsung Galaxy Note 6 and Oppo Find 9, another round of the race for ppi and the opinion of the CEO Huawei, problems Motorola and the fate of the Blackberry mobile division, as well as a new smartphone Xiaomi and other news …
You trust one brands more, others less. And sometimes you can't even explain to yourself why. It seems that objectively the company is no worse than others, and its smartphones have something to praise for, but all the same, you do not consider them as a purchase for yourself. And it also happens the other way around – it seems that I almost never used the devices of this brand, but still the brand is attractive in absentia.
For me, Huawei is one of those companies that I sympathize with, albeit somewhat illogical. And I am glad that every year its position in the mobile device market is only getting stronger. For example, we can cite a recent IDC report, in which the company Huawei moved up to third place in the first quarter. At the same time, you can compare the current situation with the one that was a year earlier (the rightmost column in the table).
The only pity is that any success also has a price. As long as the company is in the status of “young and promising”, it can afford a lot of bold statements. Even if their meaning usually boils down to the fact that market leaders are always doing wrong and wrong. But as soon as this company has a real chance to climb to the top of Olympus, all bold slogans are immediately scrapped, and it begins to act in the same way as everyone else.
About a year ago, the CEO Huawei ridiculed 2K displays in smartphones, considering them a completely meaningless marketing gimmick. According to him, this is nothing more than a reason to brag, which gives absolutely nothing to the end user.
But just the other day, Yu Chengdong changed his mind, saying that 2K screens are very cool and Huawei will soon introduce such a smartphone.
When asked what exactly has changed over the past year, he answered simply – virtual reality, or VR.
It is a pity that he was not asked about what percentage of smartphone owners of this very VR will use. After all, anyone can collect or even just order the same Google Cardboard now, and the price of the issue is one hundred rubles. But I highly doubt that this feature has interested at least one of the tens of thousands of owners of compatible smartphones. And there is no reason to believe that by the time the new item is released Huawei the situation will change dramatically.

In any case, lovers of beautiful numbers will be enough without Huawei. So, judging by the rumors, the Oppo Find 9 smartphone can get a similar screen. Of the other characteristics, the Snapdragon 820 processor and 6 GB of RAM are called.
However, all this is nothing more than rumors. According to other sources, the smartphone will receive 4 GB of RAM, a ten-core processor MediaTek Helio P10 and only a FullHD display. This theory is confirmed by the screenshot of the benchmark leaked to the network.

Although it is more likely that we are not talking about one model, but about a whole line of devices, where there will be a place for all sorts of 'pro' and 'mini'. According to unconfirmed information, the oldest version of the Oppo Find 9 will have a larger screen with a resolution of up to 4K. Whether this is true or not is unclear, but it is very likely that the ppi race has started again, this time under the slogan VR.

One of the most anticipated announcements in the world Android of smartphones is the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note. It is believed that the Korean company is once again considering smartphones of this series as the most technically advanced and uncompromising solutions. But smartphones of the EDGE line may disappear altogether, they will be replaced by special versions of existing devices.
Thus, it is assumed that the same Galaxy Note 6 will receive two variants, one with a 'flat' screen and the other with a curved screen. The display diagonal in both versions will slightly increase and will be 5.8 inches, the resolution will be QHD (2560 × 1440). Possible processor models are Exynos 8 Octa 8890 and Snapdragon 823, the amount of RAM is 6 GB.
However, I will emphasize once again that these are only rumors.

While the flagships of eminent companies are trying to shake the imagination of potential buyers with their characteristics, second-tier manufacturers are trying to 'hook' users with a price. And in some cases it is not at all unsuccessful.
One example is the Oukitel C3 smartphone, which has a promotional price of $ 39.99 (standard price is $ 54.99). For this money, the buyer will receive a device with the following characteristics:
- 5 inch IPS screen with HD resolution
- MT6580 Quad Core Processor
- 1 GB operational
- 8 GB of internal memory,
- Main camera 8 MP
- Battery 2,000 mAh
According to modern measures, the characteristics are more than modest, but after looking at the price of a smartphone, inevitably you wonder whether it really really needs a ten-core processor or a 2K screen.
However, the characteristics are only half the battle. Good optimization and stable operation of the smartphone are equally important. And also a nice design. And with the last point, the Oukitel C3 is doing a little better than one might think. At a minimum, a smartphone has its own face, even if it is immediately obvious that this face is Chinese.
The company's designers say they were inspired by jewelry and precious stones. And there really is something in it.

The main problem of budget Chinese smartphones from manufacturers of the second or third tier is the difference between what we see on paper and what we get in practice. Having poured on a stunningly 'tasty' price of an unknown brand, there is a very good chance to acquire real junk.
In this regard, A-brands are much more predictable, but this predictability is also not always with a plus sign. If we talk about budget devices, then the overpayment for the brand is sometimes such that it is amazing. A poor smartphone based on outdated hardware may well cost as a solid device of the middle segment, and all because of the logo on the back wall.
One of the most successful examples of 'state employees' is the Moto G smartphone. Despite the fact that Motorola was going through hard times then, the company approached the creation of a smartphone with soul, trying to make a really thoughtful, interesting and decent device.
Smartphone review Motorola G – everyday phone
At one time there were rumors that the company was preparing to present his next reincarnation. But judging by the latest data, in fact, we are talking about another smartphone – Moto E. In any case, the leak from the Indian customs website speaks of some unannounced smartphone Motorola Affinity, which is currently under testing. Most likely, this is the Moto E 2016.
The expected specs include a larger screen size (now it is 5 inches instead of 4.5) and a fingerprint scanner, which the representative hinted at Lenovo.

The only question is how much Motorola can be considered a first-tier manufacturer … and indeed a separate company. At first glance, this is a well-known A-brand, which is actively developing and rediscovering previously lost markets. But it may very well be that all this is nothing more than a mirage, which very soon will dissipate like smoke. And it turns out that the brand Motorola is just words, a screen that employees use Lenovo.
And there are enough alarm calls. For example, the sensational story in the United States with the refusal of warranty repair of smartphones. The company's employees refused to accept for repair or replace defective devices, explaining that they did not have the required number of smartphones and their components on hand. Moreover, the problem arose primarily with new models Motorola, which is quite strange.

A few days later, representatives of the company made an official statement, asking forgiveness from users and assuring that the situation would be resolved in the very near future. Those who find themselves in a similar situation are advised to call the hotline.

But the presentation Xiaomi will have to wait until May 10. It is not known exactly what this Chinese company will present, but most likely it will be a phablet Xiaomi Mi Max and a new version of a fitness bracelet Xiaomi Mi Band 2.
There is not much information about the smartphone yet – an official teaser and a screenshot of the GFXBench benchmark leaked to the network.

As for the bracelet, the CEO of the company posted his photo to the network. The first thing that catches your eye is the miniature display, which was absent in previous versions.

At one time there were rumors on the Internet about an upcoming presentation BlackBerry, but now it became clear that there was almost no chance of this. Sales President Carl Wiese has recently officially announced that the company is going to focus on the development of services and software, which already bring good profit to the company. But the fate of the mobile division of the company and the release of new devices remain in question.
However, the words about abandoning the mobile direction were never said, so smartphones BlackBerry still have a chance. Even despite the fact that most analysts buried the company a year or two ago, and many specialized publications have already happily announced the final death of the mobile unit BlackBerry.
