Renders of the new Galaxy Note, information about the fate of the Nexus line, photos and characteristics of OnePlus 3, the announcement of the smartphone at Sailfish OS and other news …
The most interesting event of this week promises to be Lenovo Tech World `16. The conference will be held from 8 to 9, and all major announcements are expected on the last day. You can read about what exactly to expect from Lenovo Tech World `16 in the article by Artem Lutfullin. It is possible that when you are reading this text, a separate article has already appeared about all the presentations, so I don't see much point in writing about rumors and leaks.

But before the official presentation of One Plus 3 there is still enough time, it will take place only on June 14th. Although there is no particular intrigue here for a long time, in recent months all possible information about this smartphone has leaked into the network. It seems that the company itself has come to terms with this, in any case, it was possible to pre-order this 'pig in a poke' on the 6th. Interestingly, the number of smartphones for pre-order is limited and amounts to only a thousand pieces.

@Evleaks posted a render of the smartphone on twitter three weeks ago, then added images for certification in TENAA, and in the end – a series of 'live' photos.

As for the characteristics and results in benchmarks, they are presented in the screenshots below.

I have no special expectations from the upcoming presentation. Anyway, the situation with OnePlus is well described by the proverb 'swing for a ruble, hit for a penny'. At first, competent positioning, the right words and the promise of a great bright future really won over, articles about the 'flagship killer' could be found on any more or less serious resource. But by the time the second smartphone appeared, interest in this line had noticeably faded, it became clear that the murder did not take place and the miracle did not happen. And the very appearance of this company is more a kind of rebranding than something more. There are already enough 'Chinese' with a pleasant price in the world, and OnePlus does not stand out in any way against their background.
For a while, rumors circulated on the network that OnePlus smartphones would become something like alternatives to the Nexus and, despite the presence of a proprietary shell, would promptly receive OS updates for many years. But now we can say that nothing like this has happened and the same OnePlus 2 received an update to Android 6.0 just this week. The results are not at all outstanding, it makes no sense to choose smartphones based on this parameter, and even more so to compare with Nexus.
There are almost no chances that OnePlus 3 will be able to surprise with something, what plans the company has for the future life is also unclear. In any case, in a recent interview with WSJ, the CEO of Pete Lau could not answer this question.

But it became known that at one time the company was seriously thinking about the release of 'smart' watches, but at the last moment they curtailed this project, considering that in their position it is not worth splitting efforts on a bunch of different devices.
Let me remind you that the first leaks about OnePlus 'smart' watches appeared on the network back in 2014, but the fans of the brand did not wait for their official announcement.

The Xiaomi approach is strictly the opposite, and there are so many of all kinds of equipment under this brand that it’s scary to think. For hours, the matter will not become either, as it became known immediately after the announcement of the second generation Xiaomi Mi Band.
I wonder how much the watch Xiaomi will be in demand, because the intersection with the Mi Band is obvious, and the price is several times higher – it is assumed that the younger version of the watch will cost the buyer $ 150, and the older one – $ 240. The price for Mi Band 2 is about $ 22, while the device also has a OLED display, supports notifications, alarms and other functions familiar to smart watches.

The Nexus line, which has already been predicted for final death many times, is more alive than all living things. Moreover, Google is going to pay special attention to it and tighten control over manufacturers. Recently, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that, from his point of view, Nexus smartphones should receive advanced technologies and have the latest software. Moreover, it was not only about the most recent version of the OS, but also about some innovative software.
Apparently, according to Google's idea, Nexus smartphones should become a guiding star for manufacturers, which will show in which direction they should move. For you and me, this can mean two things – the price of the Nexus will remain at a fairly high level (at least when it comes to 'flagship' models), but there will be more interesting 'chips' in them. So it may well be that the new Nexus will have a stylus, a ForceTouch-enabled screen, an iris scanner, or something similar.

Although it is not worth making any serious conclusions based on a single interview. Moreover, it is still unknown not only who and when will present new devices of the Nexus line, but even how many of them there will be.
According to past leaks, the company HTC is engaged in the development of Nexus smartphones, and the contract was concluded for the release of several devices at once. But at the same time, the CEO Huawei of the Consumer Business Group in South Africa, Charlene Munileill, recently announced that her company is working on the new Nexus. And at the same time she complained that despite the enthusiasm of the 'geeks', Nexus smartphones are niche devices and sell very mediocre.
Recently, there have been more and more rumors that the Nexus lineup will have a division into 'flagships' and 'middlings'. Huawei was entrusted with the development of the most 'sophisticated' device, and HTC – more practical models of the middle row. To what extent all this corresponds to the truth is not yet clear.

The number of leaks about the new Galaxy Note is growing every day, although the full picture of them has yet to be added. But there is still time, because according to the information @Evleaks, there are still about two months left before the official announcement of the device.

Most likely, the smartphone will be called Galaxy Note 7. In Chinese social networks, several teasers with the number 7 flashed, but they are not very similar to the official ones, and Samsung still stubbornly continues to remain silent.
But you shouldn't expect the flagship to work on Android N, which is indirectly confirmed by the screenshot published on the NapiDroid resource.

According to unconfirmed reports, the smartphone will have a dual camera. Considering that the same camera is expected in the new iPhone, this seems to be true. Most likely, we are talking about a module of its own production, which is being developed by Samsung's Electro-Mechanics.

As for the design of the smartphone, it is unlikely to be noticeably different from the design of last year's model. There are already a lot of schematic images and renders on the network, but it's just impossible to understand which one is most close to reality.
My most credible images are those posted by @OnLeaks. Judging by them, the bend of the upper end of the smartphone has changed and the camera protrudes slightly less.

According to rumors, a similar design with two rounded edges can be received by iPhone, but it will not happen this year, but only next year. Which makes us recall once again the rumors about the transition of the 'apple' company to a three-year development cycle for flagships.

Finally, perhaps the strangest news of the week – the announcement of a Russian smartphone with a harmonious and primordially Russian name Oysters SF. His hardware is quite standard: a five-inch screen, processor MediaTek MT6753, 2 GB of RAM. But it doesn't work for Android, but for Sailfish OS.

At the same time, for Jolla itself, things are more than unimportant, the company had to completely stop the production of the Jolla Tablet, and the Jolla C smartphone was released in a limited edition of 1 thousand pieces. That is, in fact, we are talking about the release of a device on a knowingly 'dead' OS. Who needs it and why is a mystery to me.
