Ode to the stand (again about Lenovo)

Once again, I will have to talk about tablets in general and products Lenovo in particular. Not even so – about a separate element of the tablets. I know that I have often lauded the line of Yoga tablets from Lenovo, but every time I use my 'retired' Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 of the first generation, I wonder why other manufacturers make a copy? Or, at worst, will they not take the idea of a stand in Lenovo as a basis and do something of their own, original on its basis?

For me, this stand has become a definite factor in choosing tablets only from a specific Yoga line and only from Lenovo. That is, I may not like the tablet itself for some characteristics, but if there is a choice between abandoning the stand, if it is wrong, and some other things, I will choose a weaker tablet with a stand, because this the piece is very convenient and practical. With it, you can put the tablet at a convenient angle for yourself on a table, table, any more or less flat surface. Can be placed with the stand open, providing a slight tilt angle so that the device does not just lie flat. You can hold the tablet by the stand with your hands. You can hang it by some edge or something. The company itself Lenovo declares four modes of operation and, accordingly, four ways to use the stand, but we all understand that an inventive person will find a dozen more options. And that's great.

Now let's turn to the products of Apple, Samsung, Asus, Acer and other companies, I'm now talking about tablets, everywhere new nano-super-duper-duper technologies, huge contrast screens, support for everything that is possible, and nowhere are there any hints that the tablet can be properly installed or fixed. This is all the more strange, given that over the years the tablet as a device has undergone changes and from some incomprehensible format has turned into a definitely home type of electronics, which is rarely taken with them, and if they do, then just on trips or something like that. That is, practicality in terms of installation for a tablet is very important, it seems to me. And the manufacturers do not seem to notice this. Yes, there is an optional option – covers and stands, but all this is not the case. You can forget them, you need to buy them, but you want the device itself out of the box to be immediately ready for use.

Now, attention, a question. Why do you think, for some mysterious reason, almost none of the manufacturers 'jerks' towards the built-in stands in their tablets? Because most people don't need it? Because it's not pretty and such a tablet won't be stylish, clear, modern? Because it makes production more expensive? Maybe you have some ideas of your own on this?
