According to the results of the last conference Lenovo Tech World 16, many copies have already been broken about the fact that ' Moto is not the same!', 'What was done with the design?', 'Why is a square fingerprint scanner out of the question ?! ' and so on, so on. It so happened that all these complaints hid the positive aspects of the devices, or rather, the device – Lenovo Moto Z Force. And I thought, but the smartphone has several good, important chips, and in some things it is the only one on the market (well, yes, still), so I decided to refresh my memory of these positive moments for myself in the first place, so that in a fit do not forget about them in the future, following the call of the crowd. Go.
Moto ShatterShield. Someone will say that the technology is sucked from the finger, it was already in the days of resistive screens in PDAs and communicators, and so on. To which there is a reasonable answer – before it was not. The resistive screen cracked perfectly when dropped, and left dents and other damage on it. So the fact that the Moto Z Force has a shock-resistant and damage-proof screen is a serious plus. And, if you think about it, this is just one of two modern devices with this technology, and of the current smartphones in 2016, it is simply the only flagship that offers a display protected from damage.
Updated camera. I have not yet had the opportunity to study the Moto Z Force camera thoroughly, but even the first ten pictures taken at the exhibition sample pleased me pleasantly. I don’t want to jinx it, but it seems that this year several manufacturers have decided to catch up with Samsung in terms of cameras by all means, and some have already succeeded. With a 21MP camera, larger pixel size, f / 1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization, and laser and phase focusing, the Moto Z Force feels like it will be one of the best 'camera phones' of 2016.
Front fingerprint scanner. The downside is that the scanner is not aligned with any key, which we are used to seeing if it is located on the front side. But, at the same time, this is a plus, since the scanner in Moto Z Force is a separate element, then if you are an adherent of on-screen control buttons, it can be convenient. In any case, this is at least an unusual and non-standard move from the outside Lenovo – to implement the scanner in this way. It is a pity that he is so square!
Pure OS Android. For me personally, a clean operating system is actually a minus rather than a plus. I'm used to the fact that in third-party interfaces they give me the opportunity to banally put separate pictures on the lock screens and the main one, that there is a customizable notification curtain and some other things. But, at the same time, I constantly hear from friends and see on the net – there are many people who want to get a smartphone with a system as close as possible to the original Android. And Moto Z and Moto Z Force are just such devices.
Modules. The idea with modules, firstly, is not at all new and was implemented even before LG in one form or another. Secondly, it scares off with its potential complexity – why make a smartphone with modules, why not build them into the device right away? But Lenovo with Moto Z did more or less well (against the background of a controversial decision in LG G5, for example). Yes, the modules are not too compact, but they have a simple and convenient mounting. At the same time, the module with speakers is a real replacement for a portable speaker, which, in fact, takes plus or minus as much space in a backpack or suitcase as this module. The whole question is whether Lenovo will have enough strength, desire and resources to expand the existing, frankly, a modest fleet of modules for Moto Z.
The dissimilarity. You may laugh and not take this argument seriously – but it is quite real – Moto Z and Moto Z Force are unlike any other smartphones on the market. Yes, someone will say that these are 'ugly ducklings' and there is nothing good about that, but the fact remains that if you need a distinctive (especially in terms of design) smartphone that is unlike existing devices, the Moto Z line is definitely among the first to consideration.
What are your thoughts, dear readers? With Lenovo Moto Z is really that bad, could it be even worse? And better? What did you personally expect from the new flagship? Don't keep it to yourself – share it!
