Live wallpapers are one of the trademark 'features' Android. By itself, this idea has always been very sympathetic to me. The trouble is that its implementation is usually noticeably lame. Developers are often let down by the inability to stop on time – it really hurts to add a bunch of settings, functions, animation, interactive elements and a bunch of everything else to your creation. The result is an overgrown mutant that is too complex for a wallpaper, but too primitive for a game or application.
Anyway, it is very difficult to find beautiful live wallpapers. With the search for ordinary background images, everything is clear – for these purposes there are hundreds of special sites on the Internet, dozens of applications on Google Play, a bunch of thematic and author's collections, and so on. But live wallpapers have to be fished out of the murky waters of Google Play by hand, and only one by one. And this despite the fact that there is no sane sorting (by color scheme, plot, animation, etc.) in the Google store.
Fortunately, collections of not only static background images, but also live wallpapers began to appear on Google Play. For example, the ScreensPro application (in Russian – 'Live HD-video-wallpaper').

This is a small catalog of animated live wallpapers. There are no special settings or interactive elements in them – basically, we are just looking at videos of natural and city landscapes. Although there was a place in this collection and computer 3D animation, from abstract wallpapers in the style of Sony to some very futuristic themes. Another thing is that they look, in my opinion, much less interesting than photorealistic options.
For my taste, this kind of live wallpaper is a reasonable compromise. On the one hand, they are more interesting than a static picture. On the other hand, they do not distract too much with excessive interactivity and fit perfectly on the desktop. What do you think?
