We talked with friends about the simple mode in smartphones and decided to share my thoughts on this function with you.
Initially, I was a big supporter of this regime. It's great when you can give a smart phone with a 3×3 grid for parents, where everything is already arranged and understandable and nothing needs to be configured! But when I myself started teaching my mother the basics of a smartphone on Android, I realized that I wanted her to immediately know the normal appearance of the system, because the same 'simple modes' look different on different devices and changing the smartphone would still have to relearn. And now, three years later, I understand that I did absolutely right, because when I bought another phone for her (I changed Galaxy S3 to ZenFone 2, because the first one started to be very blunt), I didn't have to retrain her for the new Easy Mode , I just arranged all the icons in the standard launcher the same way as on the previous device and that's it.
