One of the two creators is Keiwei Teng, he was responsible for the design of smartphones Motorola Defy, Droid 4, Razr (just don't know which one), so you can trust him. The device is compact, the keys are backlit, the number and name of the subscriber are displayed on the screen. I didn't understand how exactly The Light Phone is supposed to be connected to the main one, but the idea is this – you leave your device at home and leave, grabbing only The Light Phone for calls. Something like a headset. No need to take out a SIM card – yes, that is also a big plus. Maybe you will need to put another SIM card into your smartphone and enable call forwarding. By the way, some of my friends are doing this now, they leave Samsung Galaxy Note at home and take the Nokia 8800 with them for calls and SMS.
