Tablets 'with a twist'

Have you ever wondered that any device needs more than good specs, decent price and cool design for real success? Some little cherry on top of the cake that would be the finishing touch to creating the perfect gadget. In today's article, we recall tablets that fit this description.

Lenovo Yoga Tab

Favorite tablet of Artem Lutfullin, which he talked about twice or even three times. First in the review, then in two posts on our Android – blog. One of the 'yogas' on Android I tested myself and also got into this tablet. The younger version had an excellent display, decent battery life, reasonable price, and most importantly, a very comfortable stand. It's amazing how rarely manufacturers think about such an important detail. For example, when you fly in an airplane or on a train, placing your tablet on a table requires some kind of additional accessory like WoodFrame, but here is a great built-in solution with many angles.

Asus Transformer

Now almost any laptop can either rotate 180 degrees or has a detachable keyboard, but in 2012 all this was new, and Asus were the pioneers of this direction. It was really cool to detach the screen and use the device as a tablet, and then plug it into the keyboard and type in the lectures. Of course, there were many flaws, ranging from small keys to poor performance Android with switching layouts (now this is no longer relevant). But the idea was pretty damn good.

HTC Flyer

HTC released a tablet with a stylus even before the first Galaxy Note was announced. It was a bold move, and the pen had a lot of use cases, and the tablet itself came out great at the time. Cool design, great screen, comfortable shell HTC Sense.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7

A model ahead of its time in many ways. Cool design, not at all typical of Samsung, Super AMOLED Plus display, slim aluminum body and long battery life. It was a masterpiece for its time, but unfortunately, the Tab 7.7's 'highlight' was the laggy TouchWiz.

Asus PadFone

Another brilliant idea from Asus, which, unfortunately, did not receive mass distribution. I really liked the PadFone line, the smartphones themselves had excellent characteristics, and they could be used without looking at the docking station. However, along with the dock, they became even more convenient. Plus, the devices could be recharged, and all your data was immediately on the tablet.

Motorola Atrix 4G Dock

Don't forget about PadFone's predecessor, the Atrix 4G Dock. There, of course, in terms of the interface, everything was simpler, but for its time it was a big step forward. Another decision ahead of its time.

Lenovo Yoga Book

At the last presentation Lenovo, they showed a new Yoga Book, one of the features of which was an unusual keyboard, it is made to be touch-sensitive and can be transformed into an area for drawing with stylus from Wacom. In fact, this solution has many advantages, the main one being the ability to customize the keyboard for yourself and not put up with standard buttons.
