The release of new generations of flagship devices from market leaders is always accompanied by a lot of information noise and divides potential buyers into two camps – those who are ready to buy a new product and those who will not buy. And each of these groups has its own reasons for such a decision.
In order to tip the scales in favor of the purchase and reach the widest possible audience, manufacturers release several versions of the device, differing from each other both in terms of capabilities and design.
Samsung has presented three versions of the flagship at once:
S10E, S10 and S10 Plus.
And if everything is more or less clear with the S10 / S10 Plus, then the S10E turned out to be ambiguous and, in my opinion, the most interesting, since, together with the compromises, it answers the requests of many users who wanted to see certain characteristics in the flagship solutions. Therefore, today we will try to answer the question of why you should buy the Samsung Galaxy S10E.

The S10E is the most affordable of the Korean manufacturer's new flagship line. In Russia, the price tag for it starts at 56,990 rubles, and this is less than what was asked at the start of sales for last year's flagship S9.
It is difficult to answer whether it is expensive or cheap, however, knowing the unusual relationship between Samsung and one Russian retail chain, in the very near future we can expect an increase in cashback with real money. But even without this fact, the price tag does not look overpriced. Especially against the background of the prices of the main competitors represented by Huawei and Apple.
The second reason is color variety
Somehow it so happened that in the flagship line, manufacturers rarely experiment with the color variety of cases, and if they do, they choose colors that can be called rich and representative, but not bright and unusual.
This is not the case with the S10E. Just look at yellow – a wonderful fun color that will suit those who love everything bright and catchy. Or the 'mother of pearl' color is neither white nor gray, but pearlescent, shimmering in the light and creating an unusual glaze effect.

The function, on the one hand, is niche and at first glance not very necessary, but such trifles create an overall impression of the product, when everything is thought out in it to the smallest detail, and allow you to significantly increase the convenience of its use.
Reason six – camera
In the S10E, the main camera is double, and not triple, as in the older versions, but this is actually enough for almost any scenario. The camera has the following characteristics:

The S10E decided to ditch the 'telephoto' in favor of the 'ultra-wide', which is great – thanks to this, it became possible to take very atmospheric photos. Reason seven – the fingerprint scanner in the button
The scanner did not appear on the screen yesterday, and it is hardly possible to surprise with this. And the practicality of such a solution still leaves more questions than answers. Plus, the cost of a screen scanner is significantly higher than the usual placement in a button.
In this regard, the S10E is in complete order – the scanner was placed, in my opinion, in the most convenient place – in the power button at the end. The finger itself lies there and does not require any additional movements and actions.
In addition, one should not forget about such a strange feature of many modern screen scanners – they require contact with a finger. Therefore, if you want to use protective films or glass, be prepared to have a hole in such protective film or glass.
This comical and strange flaw is unknown to the S10E – a scanner in a button.
Reason eight – protection from water
Today, the presence of protection against ingress of water and dust is already a kind of gold standard for flagship devices, and the lack of protection automatically puts the device one step below its brethren. Therefore, it is difficult for me to imagine a flagship without water protection (hello, Xiaomi Mi 9).
On this point, the S10E is in complete order – the phone is protected according to the IP68 standard and can withstand an hour diving to a depth of two meters.

In our time of general rejection of the jack 3.5 connector, its presence in the flagship device is a very pleasant nod to buyers who value traditional solutions.
The tenth reason is the screen
I am glad that in the younger version of the flagship the manufacturer decided not to save on screen technologies – this is exactly the same as in the older versions, a bright, contrast screen of the latest generation with Dynamic AMOLED and HDR10 + technology. The only caveat is the resolution Full HD +, however, most owners of the same S9 / S9 Plus have FHD + resolution by default out of the box (yes, in Samsung it can be changed in the settings), so this minus only for fans of virtual reality.
Conclusion
There are several opinions regarding the fate of this device, and one of them is that the S10E will become a passable model and will remain in the shadow of its older brothers, since it was created not for big sales, but in order to take away sales from iPhone Xr.
Another opinion, which I also tend to, is that the S10E will become one of the best-selling devices of the company thanks to a reasonable compromise between features and cost. I think so, the realization of the fact that today the capabilities of even devices from the middle price segment are redundant for the majority of smartphone users.
However, time will put everything in its place, so we reserve patience and follow the development of events. One thing is for sure – the S10E is definitely worth considering.
