A good game is a real work of art. And a very solid amount of work for a whole team of different specialists: after all, it should have an exciting plot, beautiful graphics, atmospheric music, and interesting gameplay. However, all this does not prevent from time to time the appearance of games like Flappy Bird, in which there is neither the first, nor the second, nor the third. And for some reason it's still interesting to play.
The same can be said for The Tower. The goal of the game is very simple – to build the highest tower possible. And the whole gameplay is reduced to uniform tapes across the screen. Couldn't finish building the tower? Start over. There are no other activities in the game anyway.
Nevertheless, this simple gameplay is very addictive. I really don't want to stop after failure, and each time you decide to make another attempt. After all, it would seem, what can be difficult here? The rules are so elementary that even a three-year-old child will understand.
The tower consists of a bunch of blocks, which we place one on top of the other like blocks from a children's construction set. You just need to catch the moment when the new block is located directly above the already built floor, and touch the screen. A reward is awarded for each erected floor, and the higher the tower, the higher the price of each next floor. An additional amount is charged for a perfectly placed block. If the block is not completely aligned, then the part hanging in the air will collapse, thereby reducing the size of the floor. The more such failures, the higher the speed of the game.
The last unsuccessfully installed block is allowed to be canceled, but this pleasure is not free. And whether it will be possible to recoup it during the further construction of the tower is an open question. In addition, you can take advantage of paid bonuses. 'Superstart' will automatically erect a perfectly flat base of the tower, 'Insurance' will keep a crooked block in the air, and 'Coin Doubler' will double the reward. Bonuses are paid with the same virtual coins, and the price is set quite affordable. But it's one thing to just recoup the money spent, and quite another to get some benefit from the bonus. And this is not always possible.
Moreover, game coins are required to unlock new tower styles. And now the prices for them are already noticeably 'bite'.
The authors did not forget about the game achievements (achievements). In addition to the standard achievements for the construction of a tower from the Nth number of floors, there are also more interesting rewards. For example, for building 20 floors, after the width of the floor has become less than its height. Or building 20 perfect floors in a row. It's a pity that there are not many achievements in total.
And of course, the game supports the Google Play Games service, which allows you to track your friends' achievements and organize competitions for the highest tower.
