Hello!
I have never been a fan of heavy, graphics-packed games on a mobile phone, so all the high-profile premieres passed by.
I have always been more attracted to games in which one way or another the surrounding world is modeled from the point of view of physics. Cool graphics and special effects are not required. On the contrary, it is better without them. Various 'indie projects' and time killers fit perfectly into this niche, of which a great many have visited on my phone.
Among all the toys I tested, several remained on the phone on an ongoing basis, and I periodically return to them to pass the time while waiting or just out of boredom. I want to tell you about these games today.
I'll start with the game that I liked the most.
Landing Confirmed
You have to become a pilot of a rocket, which will need to be delivered from the launch site to the landing site, on the way overcoming not only tricky routes but also the action of gravity. I admit, I did not immediately get used to the control – although it is very simple here, it is inverted. By clicking on the right side of the screen, you deflect the rocket to the left, and vice versa.
In addition to the fact that you need to steer, with the same engines you have to keep the rocket in the air so that it does not crash against obstacles, or does not fly too far, otherwise you will have to start the level again, since the number of attempts is not limited.
The first levels are quite easy to pass, and it may seem that the game will quickly get bored, but do not rush to conclusions, further more. One day you will reach a level that will have to go through again and again, changing your strategy and looking for ways out of a seemingly stalemate situation, and only the highest skill and lightning-fast reaction will help you fly to the landing lights.
The game is drawn quite simply and in places schematically, however, this does not interfere with the gameplay at all, but on the contrary, it allows you to better focus on the management, without being distracted by such minor trifles as graphics.
And the main drawback inherent in such games is the small number of levels, after passing which you begin to regret that you passed everything so quickly.
Therefore, I now save the uncompleted levels and turn on the game from time to time in order to stretch the pleasure for longer.
BLU K. Physics Adventure
The second game in today's collection is far from a new project by the developer Pixel Ape – BLU K. Physics Adventure.
Everything is pretty simple here.
There is a world of columns in which trouble has come. And our hero – a parallellipiped, comes to the rescue, jumping from column to column and collecting white rhombuses. Not a plot, but some kind of psychedelic, right?
However, despite such a strange plot, the game is quite simple uncomplicated and addictive. But don't be fooled by the seeming primitiveness and the simultaneous similarity of the controls to Angry Birds. It is not so easy to count the jump and hit the next column.
The more accurately you land to the center of the column, the more points you get, which means you can increase the flight path indicator faster.
The game has everything you need to while away half an hour or an hour with relaxing music, jumping from column to column.
Hocus
At first glance, the next game may seem like the heir to the ideas behind the legendary Monumen Vally, however, this is not entirely true.
Here. unlike the eminent 'progenitor', it is necessary to use not so much imagination as imaginative thinking and even knowledge from stereometry. Without this, it will not be easy to unravel the paradoxical curves of the path.
Hocus hooked me with the originality of the gameplay and the simplicity of the graphics multiplied by the unusual levels.
Try it. The first levels will seem like a warm-up, but then you have to break your head to bring the red cube where you need it.
At the same time, you can not be afraid of a quick end of the game. Unlike Landing Confirmed, Hocus has a hundred levels!
And if this does not seem enough to you. there is an opportunity to create your own.
Archers
And the last game for today is not new, but it is no less exciting, and also based on the physics of objects – Archers.
Unlike the previous games in the collection, with a rather leisurely gameplay, in Archers you will simply have no time to get bored and think. To win, you must shoot without stopping, correctly calculating the angle of flight of the arrow to cause maximum damage to the enemy.
Dynamic, fast game. Archers are not for those who like to sit and think. Therefore, she can get bored pretty quickly. But even if this happens, do not rush to delete it. You will definitely run it again and again to relive the minutes of excitement and shooting at speed and accuracy.
Conclusion
All of these games focus on gameplay and physics rather than graphics.
If you do not dwell on such games, then the only thing I miss among mobile games is high-quality, well-developed rallies. Dear readers, maybe you can advise me a good rally simulator for Android? I would be grateful for a tip.
