We do not change smartphones so often to think about transferring data from one device to another. And when the time does come, we pull up some of the data through the cloud, and just wave our hand to some, which of course we don't want to do. The second part usually includes music, photos, videos, and calendars. But what if there is a convenient way to transfer data from one smartphone to another, even if before that you had iPhone, and then you decided to switch to Android? It is about such an application that we will talk about today.
The program itself is called iSkysoft Toolbox, and the utility we need is iSkysoft Switch. The application is available at this link, I was separately pleased that there is a version not only for Windows, but also for Mac.
Preparing your smartphone
iPhone. If you have an encrypted iTunes backup enabled, you need to disable it before syncing. Open iTunes, go to the 'Browse' tab, select the icon for your smartphone, and then uncheck the 'encrypted backup' box. Let me remind you that disabling it will require you to enter a special password that you set to protect the copy.
Android. Before using the program, you need to enable USB debugging. It becomes available after activating developer mode. How it turns on: go to the section 'about the device', find the item 'build number', click on it seven times in a row and see that the mode has turned on. Next, open the settings again, go to the opened developer mode and enable USB debugging. At the first connection, the iSkysoft application will install the program of the same name on your smartphone.
We start copying
So, we have prepared two smartphones and connected them to a computer on which the iSkysoft Toolbox application is preinstalled. Then we open the Switch section and see our devices on the left and right. On the left is the smartphone from which we will copy the data, on the right is the one that will receive them. Depending on what operating systems we have, the amount of information available for copying will change. You can copy messages, contacts, calendar, photos, music and videos from any smartphone to any smartphone. When copying from Android to Android, copying of applications and call list is also available. Copy times can be almost instantaneous or take several minutes, depending on what information you are transferring.
The copying of applications takes the longest time; when transferring them, we recommend that you simply leave two smartphones on the table and walk away for a few minutes. When copying programs, all new applications line up on the desktop, because of different launchers, the arrangement of icons is not repeated.
Conclusion
Like any good app, iSkysoft Switch costs money. You can subscribe for a year for $ 30, or purchase a lifetime subscription for $ 40. But the program is worth it, I personally liked the excellent appearance of the application, the intuitive interface, the ability to cross-platform data copying, which is quite rare and the ease of the process itself. You just downloaded the program, connected smartphones and transferred all the necessary information. The time saved is definitely worth trying this utility.
