From personal experience, I will tell you whether using the application you can improve your vision through daily workouts.
In our age of lightning-fast developing computer technologies, such an important organ as the human eye does not change in any way. Until now, people are forced to use glasses or lenses to compensate for myopia, hyperopia and other maturation problems. This problem is aggravated by modern gadgets – smartphones, tablets and laptops, in the screens of which we are so enthusiastic about looking. I’m not a specialist, but you don’t need to be an ophthalmologist to talk about the fact that prolonged contact with electronic displays is a strain on the eyes. In the 'best' case, this threatens with temporary fatigue and pain in the eyes; at worst, one can expect a decrease in the quality of vision.
On duty, I have to spend several hours at a computer at a time. My vision has never been perfect, I would describe the level as just 'good' and I don't need glasses. However, after another long session in front of the monitor, I feel a clear tension in my eyes, in other words, fatigue. Solving this problem is not difficult – you need to do the so-called 'warm-up' for the eyes and give them a rest. But often there is no time for this, or you simply forget to pause. Fortunately, modern displays are much more “sparing” for the eyes of users, but, alas, they have not learned how to treat vision.
In the Play store, Marketia came across the Vision Plus app, which contains a variety of exercises for daily vision training. And I wondered how effective these workouts were.
Eye training
At the first launch, the Vision Plus application will ask you to fill out a questionnaire – age, gender, race, vision problems. Based on this data, an individual training program is drawn up. These exercises, according to the supplement, can help relieve dry eyes, relieve fatigue, reduce redness, and reduce the effects of diseases such as lazy eye.
Do not think that the application will somehow magically make your vision one hundred percent and you will immediately get rid of your glasses. This doesn't happen. The first course of training can last from one month to three, it all depends on the user's desire. You will also need to choose the duration of daily training – from 3 to 33 minutes a day. All this directly affects the effectiveness of the exercises.
There are about three dozen different exercises in the application. Some help reduce fatigue and repair damaged eye cells, others help relieve redness and dryness, and so on. In almost all exercises, you need to look at the display – concentrate on the center or follow a moving object, but there are also tasks where you need to blink at regular intervals or cover your eyes with your palms.
For each exercise you complete you get a certain amount of points (XP) – something like built-in currency. At this point, an attentive reader will suspect something was wrong: 'And here you have to pay real money for virtual bonuses (donation) ?!'. No, you can only earn points. At least I have not found a way to buy them for real money. XP can be used to buy new training plans that are designed to more specifically address specific problems.
As for the application itself, everything is fine. It is very convenient, beautiful and translated into Russian, but sometimes flaws do happen – it can close, and there are untranslated places. And, perhaps most importantly, 'Vision Plus' can be downloaded for free. I even failed to find an advertisement, so it's not clear how the developers 'live'.
Personal example
I did the Vision Plus exercises daily for two weeks, 13 minutes a day. Later he did less work, sometimes even skipped. I can't say that after that I began to see how an eagle, but still there is an effect from the exercises. The eyes became less tired even after three to four hours of working at the computer, but it was not possible to completely get rid of the redness. I suppose that if you complete the full course, at least a month, the effect will be more striking.
Let's summarize
It is worth noting that this is only training for the eyes. With the help of the application, you can probably partially restore visual acuity, but for the most part it helps not to lose it in the future. I recommend trying Vision Plus first of all for those who spend a lot of time at the computer in order to prevent their eyes from problems. Moreover, it's free. The app also contains a large number of eye care tips, tests, games and even complete recipes for dishes with a lot of substances beneficial for the eyes. But this is not worth focusing on.
I propose to share your opinion about such applications in the comments and, possibly, tell about your experience. Thank you for your attention!
