Hello everyone, today I propose to talk about DLNA, Miracast and AirPlay.
Hello dear readers. I decided to ask you if you use wireless technologies that allow you to display images from a smartphone / tablet on your TV? Traditionally, I'll tell you about my thoughts. I use a pair of iMac + TV, the latter is connected to the iMac using a Thunderbolt-HDMI cable. The use of such a solution seriously limits me in terms of choosing the location of the TV, it must necessarily be located on the same side as the iMac, and also relatively next to it. I don’t believe in wireless technologies yet, it seems to me their current level does not yet allow broadcasting any video without interference and flaws. In addition, I am a fastidious viewer, I watch films with subtitles, and they are also not supported in all technologies. On the other hand, I use Chromecast in tandem with Amediateka and I really like this scenario, in the end it is insanely convenient to select and play a movie directly from a smartphone.
What do you say? do you use DLNA, AirPlay, Miracast or their analogs or do you prefer the good old cable?
