It looks like Sony is heading for an update to the Xperia Z line later this year. The changes in the Xperia Z3 + were not fundamental, and perhaps the manufacturer has saved a long-awaited major update for the IFA exhibition, where in recent years Sony has shown its flagships.
According to the latest leak from ViziLeaks, Sony is staying true to its dual flagship strategy with the Xperia Z5 and the smaller Xperia Z5 Compact. An earlier leak shows both devices next to iPhone 5s, possibly with a fingerprint reader embedded in the side power button.
Well, today's image shows us a different look at the devices. The Xperia Z5 Compact rests on the Xperia Z5. The power button is definitely different from the round, familiar from previous iterations of the Xperia Z series. And until Sony themselves confirm this, we will not know for sure if it has a fingerprint scanner.
In any case, IFA becomes even more interesting for us. What do you expect from the future flagships of Sony? Share in the comments.
