As part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015), the company Acer announced three new models of smartphones running the operating system Android – a mid-range smartphone Liquid Jade Z and budget Liquid Z220 and Z520 .
Acer Liquid Jade Z
The announcement opens with the Liquid Jade Z model, which, according to the manufacturer, combines high functionality and premium design of the Jade line. This unit is equipped with support for 4G LTE (Cat.4) networks, 64-bit quad-core processor Mediatek, 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution and Zero Air Gap technology, which minimizes glare, as well as covered with Corning Gorilla glass Glass 3 and a special 'Reading Mode' function that protects the user's eyes by reducing the amount of blue light emitted from the display.
In addition, this unit is equipped with speakers with support for DTS Studio Sound technology, a main 13-megapixel camera with F1.8 aperture and voice control function, and a 5-megapixel front camera with an F2.2 aperture for taking self-portraits.
The Liquid Jade Z smartphone will go on sale in Russia in April, the initial price will be equal to the European one, which is 199 euros.
Acer Liquid Z220
The Liquid Z220 has a 4-inch WVGA display with 233ppi resolution and dual SIM support. In addition, it is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, a 5MP main camera with flash and 89-degree field of view, and a 2MP front camera, where the exposure control function allows the user to individually adjust the brightness and control focusing. This unit has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of built-in memory, which can be expanded by using micrоSD memory cards (up to 32 GB). The Z220 will be the company's first smartphone Acer running the new operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Z220 model will go on sale in Russia in April, the initial price will be equal to the European one, which is 89 euros.
Acer Liquid Z520
The Liquid Z520 features a 5-inch display, a quad-core processor, dual-SIM support, a new Z-series user interface with contactless self-portrait function and voice-activated camera, 8GB internal memory, 8MP main camera with autofocus and LED flash, and DTS Studio Sound technology.
The Z520 model will go on sale in Russia in April, the initial price will be equal to the European one, which is 109 euros.
