Google has published its regular monthly report on the relative number Android of devices depending on the version of the operating system installed on them, where, at the end of the year, gadgets running version Android are still in the lead 6 .x Marshmallow, despite the drop in the share of this version of the operating system from the search giant.
The data presented, which was collected during the week of January 8, shows that the share of devices running the latest version Android 8.x Oreo increased, as in the previous month, by only 0.2% ( due to Android 8.1), while the share of Android 7.x Nougat has grown by 3% (a month earlier its growth was 2.7%):
Recall that the collection of data for this report is carried out according to the method, where devices with versions of operating systems earlier than Android 2.2 (due to a small share are not included in the report), do not support the new version of the Google Play Store, which allows you to measure the number of devices actively connecting to the app store.
