Description for Tap titans
In short: there is such a game for Android and iOS called Tap titans . Here, I'll even give you a link to it on Google Play. The essence is very simple – click (or tap, or press, as you like) on the screen in order for your character to attack a large monster. You kill him, the next monster, and so nine times, then the boss, and again. You can take other heroes to help yourself, so that from time to time they also attack monsters. This is the whole game, and then the interesting begins.
I found out about Tap titans while in Tokyo, just walked along the train station to the subway and accidentally saw a huge banner on the wall, something like this:
Naturally, I downloaded and installed the game, played for about 10 minutes, understood what the point was, closed it and forgot. A few days later, the game reminded of itself with a notification and offered to come back to play again, because there were so many treasures waiting for me, and to collect them, it was enough to click on the icons on the screen a couple of times!
The mechanics of clicker games are maddeningly simple. Yes, as the name suggests, in these games you have to click on the screen and that's it. Click as much as possible, without stopping or interruption, until your finger dries up. And if you are tired of clicking and quit the game, after a while it will remind you of itself, be sure. Best of all, the essence of this phenomenon (after all, games of this genre are very popular, outdoor advertising in a large metropolis is a vivid confirmation of this) is shown in the South Park animated series, I will give links to this series in English and in Russian below.

It is surprising that games of this genre are presented in the AppStore and Google Play in a huge number, often they are just clones of each other, for example, the Tap Titans I mentioned has a clone – Tap Orks, 'licked up' one to one. And I'm sure it is played just like the original game.
I have only one question – how so? What makes people play such meaningless games without everything? There is no plot, no interesting gameplay, no game mechanics, and nothing at all. And yet, I look at the number of downloads of similar games and can't believe it. What do you think is the secret?
