Since I'm talking here about a variety of accessories, sometimes quite strange, I simply could not pass by such an interesting thing. The Dyson 360 Eye robot vacuum cleaner was announced a couple of years ago, but went on sale only now, and not in the USA or Europe, but in Japan. And the price surprises even Western observers, about $ 1150, which is a lot, to put it mildly. What can this thing do? And why is the vacuum cleaner here? Let me explain right away – using the application for Android called Dyson Link, you can schedule cleaning, see the movement map of the robot and control it. I once dreamed about this, but now I have stopped – an ordinary vacuum cleaner is still more convenient, more reliable, simpler and cheaper. But, if you want to get a feel for the future, 360 Eye will help you with that.
Now a little about what the robot looks like and what is so interesting here. The photo shows the base, the vacuum cleaner drives up to it for charging, the operating time is not particularly announced anywhere. The official website is here. According to the information there, the robot is able to control the space around itself and plot a route according to the situation – it remembers the already cleared areas, looks for new ones.
The camera on the top takes 30 pictures for a second, then a panorama is compiled from them, processed, superimposed on the map using special software, and then the road for the vacuum cleaner is already prepared. A powerful motor (100W) allows you to effectively suck up not only dust, but also, for example, glass fragments – only the capacity of the tank cannot be called impressive, only about five hundred grams. Suitable for daily cleaning of dust in the apartment, but for serious cleaning you need another tool. Another interesting detail, the robot moves on tracks, which allows it to easily climb onto carpets and other obstacles.
This is what the schedule looks like in the program.
I wonder how noisy he is. In general, I would like to try)
