First VAIO smartphone launched in Japan

Japanese virtual mobile operator b-mobile has unveiled its first VAIO-branded smartphone, formerly owned by Sony and now owned by Japan Industrial Partners. The novelty has a simple name VAIO Phone and its technical characteristics and appearance are similar to the device from another Japanese manufacturer – Panasonic – Eluga U2, previously presented on the Asian market.

This new product, running the operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop, supports operation in 4G LTE networks and is equipped with a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera, a 2500 mAh battery, and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor .
