Google released first update for Android M

Google today announced the release of the first update of the preliminary version of the operating system Android M Developer Preview 2, whose first release took place earlier this summer, and is intended for developers to test and optimize their applications for this release.

In Developer Preview 2, according to the company, the program code with pre-final APIs was updated, system images with firmware for Nexus devices and emulators were updated. In addition to the platform update, Google Services was also updated to version Google Play Services 7.6.

In addition to the new ('clean') system image with Android M Developer Preview 2, there will also be an update for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 or Nexus Player devices with the first release Android M numbered MPZ44Q which will be 'over the air' (OTA update). As they promise in Google, all such devices will receive this update within the next few days. An updated image Android M Developer Preview 2 for emulators can be downloaded using the SDK manager in Android Studio.
