Google has published another report on the analysis of the relative number Android of devices based on the results of 2014, where the obtained data were collected during the last week – until January 5th, based on the results of calls Android of devices to online the Play Market store.
The presented report showed that in December 2014, as in November, the trend of an increase in the share of devices running under the operating system Android 4.4.x KitKat and a decrease in the share of other devices running on other versions of this mobile operating system. It is noteworthy that this report, like the last one, did not include devices with the latest version Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Recall that the collection of data for this report is carried out according to a new method, where now devices with versions of operating systems earlier than Android 2.2, which do not support the new version of the Google Play Store, which allows measuring the number of devices actively connecting to the store applications. In addition, operating system versions with a percentage of less than 0.1% are automatically excluded from the report.
