Google: share of devices with Android Marshmallow continues to grow

In the next monthly report from Google, in which it shows the relative number Android of devices depending on the version of the mobile operating system, you can see the continuation of the last month's trend – an increase in the share of devices with the version Android Marshmallow and a drop in the share of devices with other versions Android, including Android 5.x Lollipop, which continued to grow slightly until last month.

Note that the data obtained was collected during the last week – until May 2, based on the results of calls Android of devices to the Play Market online store, where another slight drop in the share can be noted (from 16.4% at the beginning of last month up to 16.2% in this) for Android 5.0 Lollipop devices (the share of Android 5.1 Lollipop devices remained at the same level – 19.4) and an increase of more than 1.5 times ( from 4.6% to 7.5%) for Android 6.х Marshmallow.

Recall that the collection of data for this report is carried out according to a new method, where now devices with versions of operating systems earlier than Android 2.2 that do not support the new version of the Google Play Store, which allows measuring the number of devices actively connecting to the store applications. In addition, operating system versions with a percentage of less than 0.1% are automatically excluded from the report.
