Huawei announced the availability of the EMUI 9.0 interface based on the OS Android Pie for smartphones Honor

The Chinese company Huawei announced that a new version of its proprietary user interface EMUI 9.0 will be officially available for smartphones Honor Play, Honor 10 and Honor View 10. Created on the basis of the operating system Android 9.0 Pie, EMUI 9.0, according to the developers, has incorporated the latest innovations that provide a simpler and more intuitive interaction with a mobile device. This significantly improves the comfort of everyday use of the smartphone due to advanced safety features, smart technologies, simplified settings menu and improved ergonomics.

The new operating system provides increased security with a dedicated password store that allows you to conveniently and securely store and use all user IDs, passwords and credentials for websites and applications. Having saved their login information once, the user can instantly log in at any time by scanning a fingerprint to automatically fill out the form.

The company promises that EMUI 9.0 will make artificial intelligence technologies more accessible to users thanks to the smart HiVision assistant. It is a smart shopping app and translator equipped with augmented reality technology. Working in conjunction with a smartphone camera, HiVision is able to identify 522 tourist attractions in 15 countries and 10 million famous works of art located in 40 cities around the world. The user only needs to point the camera at the object of interest and HiVision will conduct a personal tour and offer detailed information about the object.

HiVision is also a personal shopping assistant. As soon as the user points the camera at an object, HiVision recognizes and finds it on one of the online trading platforms. HiVision also recognizes more than seven languages and instantly translates menu items, maps and instructions into the desired language.

EMUI 9.0 has an updated ecosystem of HiAI smart applications, which recognizes over 1500 kinds of scenes, improving the quality of photography. It significantly improves the overall comfort of everyday smartphone use by supporting new applications such as a smart email translator and smart scheduler.

The improvements implemented in the new version of the interface offer users new digital tools for the convenience of life. One of the key features of EMUI 9.0 is the new 'Digital Balance' dashboard, which offers in-depth and comprehensive analysis of personal smartphone usage activity, which includes measurement of total interaction time, time spent with each application, breakdown by period and frequency of screen unlocking.

Using this data, users can set limits, adjusting the amount of time they spend with each application, and thus manage their time. The new Wind Down mode lets you set the display to fade out and go to monochrome with dimming notification sounds over a period of time to improve the quality of your night's sleep.

The updated interface has the ability to connect a smartphone to a TV or monitor wirelessly. Users can display images on large screens for presentations, photos, videos, and even video games.

EMUI 9.0 also supports wireless printing via Huawei Share. The new feature allows you to print documents directly from your smartphone with just one click, eliminating the need to copy and send files.

In addition, EMUI 9.0 features the next generation of revolutionary GPU Turbo 2.0 graphics acceleration technology. The technology improves the quality of graphics playback on resource-intensive games and reduces the response time of the touch screen interface by 36%. Among the most famous gaming products supported by the new version of GPU Turbo are Vainglory, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival and NBA 2K18.

The interface update to EMUI 9.0 will be officially available for smartphones Honor 10, Honor Play and Honor View 10 from January 4th.
