HUAWEI develops its own HUAWEI AppGallery

The Chinese company HUAWEI announced that it continues to develop its own HUAWEI AppGallery app store, which became available to Russian users at the end of 2018.

As part of the company's mobile services ecosystem, the HUAWEI AppGallery became available outside of China in 2018. Today, more than 500 million people in 170 countries use HUAWEI's mobile services. The monthly active audience in 2018 reached 262 million users, exceeding the previous year's figure by 117%. The share of young users, aged 18 to 34, has grown by 8.3% over the year. HUAWEI says its store offers users a wide range of apps and content that undergo a rigorous four-level security review.

To support developers, HUAWEI offers full customization and expert technical support, open access to an automated test lab and performance optimization system for HUAWEI devices. In addition, the company regularly runs marketing campaigns designed to help developers promote their products. In 2018, the number of app developers who registered on the HUAWEI platform grew by 60% to 560,000. In 2018, the share of individual developers increased by 11%, reaching 29% of the total. In turn, the share of developers' revenue generated through HUAWEI Mobile Services increased by 100% in 2018.
