The Chinese company Huawei at the consumer electronics exhibition CES 2016 presented its new smartphone – Mate 8, which it positions as a device with high performance and at the same time with a long battery life.
The presented novelty is equipped with a new proprietary processor Kirin 950, which, according to the company, is 125% more powerful and 75% more energy efficient in comparison with the previous processor – Kirin 925, where high performance and energy efficiency are balanced in the form of a combination of four processor cores of the Cortex architecture A72 with a frequency of 2.3 GHz and four processor cores of the Cortex A53 architecture with a frequency of 1.8 GHz.
As stated in Huawei, the Mate 8 is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery, which will last for two days of normal use. In addition, this smartphone supports the fast charging function, with which charging for half an hour allows you to work during the day. But in fact, as the manufacturer assures, Huawei Mate 8 will be able to work for 2.36 days, and with 'heavy' use, users will be able to work for 1.65 days. On top of that, the manufacturer notes that the Mate 8's chassis has a six-layer structure for heat dissipation, which translates into improved performance due to its high heat dissipation.
Of the additional features Huawei Mate 8, the manufacturer notes the presence of the EMUI 4.0 operating system based on Android Marshmallow 6.0, an improved and more efficient fingerprint scanner, support for real-time data encryption, access blocking memory card data, 16 MP main camera with Sony IMX298 sensor and 8 MP front camera, directional microphone and support for many bands of various communication standards, including 4G / LTE and dual SIM cards.
Huawei The Mate 8 will be available initially in 30 countries with a price tag of 599 Euros for the version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and 699 Euros for the version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
