The Chinese company Huawei announced the start of sales in overseas markets for its smartphone Honor View 10, which stands out for the presence of a Kirin 970 processor with a dedicated neural computing unit (NPU), which significantly exceeds the performance of devices based on CPU / GPU. The integration of the neural module, according to the manufacturer, allows the processor to be 25 times more efficient and 50 times more energy efficient.
As noted in the company, when creating Honor View 10, it worked closely with Microsoft, which allowed significantly improving the translator Microsoft Translator. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the built-in Honor View 10 Accelerated Translator is able to translate text even without an internet connection. Kirin 970 processor with neural module speeds up text translation by 500% compared to other smartphones equipped with the same application.
Users in India and Western Europe (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain) will be able to purchase Honor View 10 starting today. Later, the new model will be available in Russia and Malaysia.
