The Chinese company Huawei presented a new smartphone model in its homeland – Huawei Mate 9 Pro, also known as Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9, only in a different color and without the logo of the German luxury car manufacturer, while maintaining the same technical characteristics.
Like the original Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9, the new Mate 9 Pro features a 5.5-inch AMOLED curved 2K display, proprietary eight-core Kirin processor 960, SuperCharge fast charging technology, Leica 2nd generation dual cameras with 12MP RGB sensor and 20MP monochrome image sensor and 2x hybrid optical zoom.
Powered by Huawei Mate 9 Pro running operating system Android 7.0 Nougat and native EMUI 5.0 user interface. There was also a place for a 4000 mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, a HiSilicon Hi6403 audio chip, four microphones, 4K video support, as well as a wide range of communication standards (including 4G / LTE, 3G / WCDMA and GSM) and bands, including LTE-Advanced Cat.12 technology, which allows to provide data transfer rates up to 600 Mbps at peak loads.
Unlike the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9, the new Mate 9 Pro will come in two configurations – with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, priced at RMB 5299 (about $ 772) and with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in at the price of 4699 yuan (about $ 685), which is significantly cheaper than the previously announced European prices for the regular Huawei Mate 9 and in design from Porsche (699 Euro and 1395 Euro, respectively).
