The Chinese company Huawei announced that it will introduce the flagship HONOR 20 series of smartphones, which will include the HONOR 20, HONOR 20 Lite and HONOR 20 PRO models. The new series, according to the manufacturer, is made in a unique design using the effect of 'dynamic holography'. The global launch of the Series 20 smartphones will take place in London on May 21, 2019.
It is noted that the designers of the HONOR 20 series applied the effect of multidimensional dynamic holography to decorate the back surface of the smartphone. The glass back of the HONOR 20 smartphones is manufactured using a two-step process using Triple 3D Mesh technology. The bottom layer of the coating is formed by highly precise deposition of millions of miniature prisms that resemble diamond particles. Passing through the prisms of the inner layer, light is refracted and reflected in all directions at the same time. Then the body is covered with glass and a colored layer is applied. The result is an unusual optical depth effect.
The new HONOR 20 will receive a 6.26-inch bezel-less display that occupies 91.6% of the front surface of the body, which is made possible by the built-in front camera with a lens diameter of 4.5 mm.
Unlike its predecessors, the HONOR 20 received smooth side edges, which made the body shape even smoother and more streamlined. The fingerprint scanner is located on the right side of the aluminum frame – exactly where it is easiest to touch it with a finger while holding the smartphone. The surface of the case is coated to resist fingerprints. And the asymmetric arrangement of the cameras in the shape of the letter L allowed to place a powerful battery inside the case without sacrificing the thickness of the device.
