Google has presented a new monthly report on the relative number Android of devices depending on the version of the operating system, where for the first time a drop in the share of Android 6.x Marshmallow devices is noted, appearing in the report Android 8.0 Oreo devices and continued slight growth in the share for gadgets running the operating system with versions Android 7.x Nougat.
The data presented, which was collected during the week of October 2, shows that devices running versions earlier than Android 7.x Nougat show negative dynamics. The share of devices with the latest version Android 8.0 Oreo was only 0.2%:
Recall that the collection of data for this report is carried out according to the method, where devices with versions of operating systems earlier than Android 2.2 that do not support the new version of the Google Play Store, which allows measuring the number of devices actively connecting to the application store, have been removed.
