Today, MEIZU has officially unveiled its new smartphone model in China – the M5, which it positions as the successor to the M3 and combines an affordable price, powerful hardware, a capacious battery and a high-speed fingerprint scanner. Moreover, this model will be officially delivered to Russia.
The announced price of the MEIZU M5 in China for the 16GB version is 699 Yuan (about $ 103). Information about the final cost of the smartphone in Russia and the start date of pre-orders will be provided a little later on the official website of MEIZU RUSSIA. The start of smartphone sales in Russia is expected presumably at the end of 2016.
MEIZU M5 has a monolithic polycarbonate body and supports dual SIM. Both slots support work with Russian 4G networks (including band 20) and VoLTE technology, and instead of the second SIM card, you can insert a MicroSD memory card up to 128GB.
The proprietary multifunctional touch-mechanical button mBack, touching which performs the action 'Back', and pressing – 'Home', with a long press – you can turn off the screen, has received a fast fingerprint scanner mTouch 2.1, as in the flagship devices from MEIZU. The scanner can memorize up to 5 fingers and recognize a fingerprint from any touch angle in 0.2 seconds.
