The Chinese company Huawei announced that an updated version of the proprietary user interface EMUI 9.0 will be officially available for Russian users of the HUAWEI P20 and HUAWEI P20 Pro smartphones starting in mid-December this year.
As noted in Huawei, based on the operating system Android 9.0 Pie, EMUI 9.0 improves overall performance by 12.9% and provides faster application launches. EMUI 9.0 features the second generation of GPU Turbo 2.0 technology, which dramatically accelerates graphics processing through intelligent analysis, delivering improved performance and lower power consumption. The new algorithm improves the sensitivity of the touch screen and shortens the response time by 36%. The App Assistant app helps you customize your notifications so you don't interrupt your gaming sessions.
To create the most comfortable interface, engineers Huawei reduced the settings menu items by 10%, combining a number of sections and moving rarely used items to a separate tab, which significantly increased the convenience of smartphone control. The navigation bar has been moved to the bottom of the screen to improve the convenience of using the smartphone with one hand. In addition, in EMUI 9.0, important visual elements have been relocated to reduce eye strain.
EMUI 9.0 provides a higher level of data protection with built-in password storage, which allows users to securely store identifiers and credentials for various applications and services. All data is encrypted and does not leave the internal memory of the smartphone, allowing you to use the auto-complete function without the risk of personal information leakage.
The updated interface has the ability to connect a smartphone to a TV or monitor wirelessly. Users can display images on large screens for presentations, photos, videos, and even video games.
EMUI 9.0 also supports wireless printing via Huawei Share. The function allows you to print documents directly from your smartphone, with just one click, eliminating the need to copy and send files.
The Digital Balance dashboard analyzes the activity of personal smartphone use and provides statistics on the time spent with each application, the frequency of screen unlocking and a breakdown by periods. Using this data, users can set limits and adjust the working time with each application.
Wind Down mode is designed to provide a comfortable preparation for sleep, allowing you to set a gradual decrease in the brightness of the display and its transition to monochrome mode with muted notification sounds for a certain time.
