Kaspersky Lab has announced the release of a new version of Kaspersky Internet Security for Android. The updated product allows you to manage the protection of smartphones and tablets from devices running Android Wear, such as smart watches.
Using the watch, you can receive notifications, for example, about threats found on your mobile device, as well as send commands – enabling the Siren function to search for a gadget, starting a file scan for online threats, updating antivirus databases. In addition, the new solution is fully compatible with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The developers assure that Kaspersky Internet Security for Android continues to reliably protect against all types of mobile threats, including ransomware and mobile banking Trojans, the attacks of which in 2015 were more common among Russian users.
In addition, the product includes tools for remote control of the device in case of loss or theft, filtering of unwanted calls and messages, protection of personal data on the device from prying eyes. The solution can also be managed remotely through a single My Kaspersky portal, for example, to enable the Anti-Theft function and update the anti-virus databases.
